Hi, I guess I will start with I am married 26 yrs and I have three beautiful daughters. 25 yrs, 23 yrs and soon to be 20 yr old girls. I am 50 yrs old and have been heavy for like 20 something years. I had a Hysterectomy like when I was 39 yrs old and I swear as time went on I got bigger and more unhealthy. I am up to 224 lbs from 133 lbs. The high blood pressure, my lower back, knees, headaches, etc I could go on. Walking upstairs and being out of breathe. Trying on clothes and getting that feeling and that look, like you just hate this. Weight Watchers over and over again, which I did lose some weight. Good program, the only thing I find with weight watchers is that with that program you are always and I mean always thinking of food. You always have to figure what your going to eat all the time. So my doctor told me to look into the Lapabnd and I did. That was like two months ago. I have been approved and my surgery is on the 5th of August. I am so happy and I feel like this is such a begining for me. I just can't wait.:frown:

I ahve mine on the 5th of Aug a week Tuesday. All I want to hear is what it's like and how everything is going from the moment it is over and then everyday after. That's all I think about, I just can't wait. Thanks for posting
  4. So you are doing good? I am so nervous about it and it'[s a week away from today. So you do feel hungry afterwards I mean it takes awhile. I just think what is it going to be like the first few days, how is it going to effect my family. I don't want to make any mistakes and hurt myself. What do I drink the first few days, eat how and everything in between. I know I'll get a diet sheet for when I come home and I read so much. I'm just glad I came across this web site
  5. I never did any of that either....I couldn't tell you the last time I had a soda or the last time I had fast food....eww i just can't eat that stuff. I really don't even eat bread and if I do it's 12 grain bread. I like healthy food and I love veggies and fruit more then anything. My BMI is 35.4 I believe...high blood pressure, lower lumbar, my knee, acid reflux, ulcers....all stuff that got me here. Went from a 120 lb person to 224 lbs after my hysterectomy and menopause. Though the years I just gained and no matter how much I ate right or went to the gym or walked...I lose and I gain. Of course I didn't eat right all the time, most of the time. I love to bake and I love to cook. I love seeing my family eat and enjoy. I did cut back on how I cooked and changed allot though the years. I wasn't sure I would be approved for the lapband...but it took a week for when the doctor sent my paper in, they approved me right away. I can not wait until a week from now. I am nervous.
