  1. MelAnne, I feel you are over obsessing right now about calories, Protein, carbs, etc. You are still recovering from surgery and you have no restriction. I do not "diet" with my band, but I do try to make good food choices. If I feel like having something that has more carbs or fats than I "should", I go for it. I know I cannot eat the amount I used to and I find that by not having any forbidden foods, I don't feel deprived. I have lost 40 lbs so far and feel better than ever. P.S. - I am really bad about exercise also , but lately have been trying to walk daily. I wish you all the best and hope you are feeling better soon!
