Have seen and am trying patchaid in the UK. It's quite expensive but so much better than taking copious tablets which I hate. Does anyone have any experience of them, good or bad? xx

I’ve never really had any issues in this department until today = 4 days post surgery. nothing could have prepared me for the afternoon (so far) of agony. I feel like I’m very unsuccessfully trying to pass a cricket ball. so far have taken some syrup of fig and a senokot max. On my mums advice I’m sipping hot water and macro gol. never ever have I experienced anything so uncontrollable and painful. starting to wonder if this is entirely normal. Trying to relax and think of other things. any advice welcome. I didn’t know this existed on such a scale :((

Yes to all of this. Macrogol was my saviour in the end but yes all of those things and today has been, erm, interesting!! thanks all for normalising this, at least I don’t feel so alone 🤗🤗

My biggest problem is feeling hungry. I enjoy food and drink and as such think about them alot. I would very much like to be one of 'those people' who don't think about food too much and sometimes forget to eat. Will a sleeve gastrectomy affect my appetite and destroy Ghrelin enough to help me with this?

I have my referral. I am going to pay for myself. I just need to make sure I choose the right surgeon/hospital central UK. Any advice my appreciated please x
