  1.    myluv2drive reacted to a post in a topic: Am I Too Tight...
  2. I would go ahead and give it a couple more days. If you are too tight...you will know.
  3. Stay with it! Dr. Wellborn and his staff is the best around. I was banded on 8/14/2008 and have lost 85 pounds as of right now. I live in Northwest Arkansas but love to chat so if you have any questions, let me know!
  4. Best of luck to you...maybe if the band has to be removed, they can replace it later? Is that an option?
  5. Hello, I flew just three weeks after getting my band and had no issues at all. It was a little hard when I was stuck in an airport for an extended period of time finding something to eat but found a smoothie shop.
  6. Hello, I was also banded on 8/14 but am still having port tenderness. Also, I get a fill on 9/23 too...very strange! I lost 10 lbs prior to surgery and have lost 20 since but like you, have little restriction. I do have some but not a lot. Best of luck to you!
  7. Good for you!!! I am so happy that you have "saggy panties"!!!
  8. My answer to this was YES! If they stopped, I did not get my money back. Might as well go through with it at that point and they said that the incision would be small.
  9. Congratulations, that is WONDERFUL!!!
  10. I am going to have to try making those!!! They sound good.
  11. Hi! How are you doing? I have been off the boards for a few days and am just trying to catch up?
  12. Hi all, so I have officially had my band for seven days today!!! I started my prediet on 7-31 and surgery on 8-14 and as of today have lost 20 lbs total, I am so excited. When I got on the scale, it seemed impossible, hard to believe. I even stepped back on a couple of times just to make sure the scale was accurate. Today is the first day that I have had anything except broth/creamy soup and I had the soup at Chick fil a and just chewed the noodles really, really good. Tomorrow, back to the doctor for a check up and class where we are going to learn what to eat for the next three weeks as we get hungarier before reintroducing real food. Still five weeks out from a fill but doing good. Doctor wants me to lose a total of 170 lbs so 20 lbs is at least on my way! Regards, Amy :biggrin2:
  13. Hello, I am so glad to be a part of this group and inspired by the postings so far. My surgery is scheduled for this Thursday at 9:30 a.m. I am both excited and nervous!!!
  14. Hi, and welcome! I actually have my surgery this Thursday and am having a off kelter day...getting very nervous. I work Monday and Tuesday, so that will help. Overall, I am really ready for this, but today said to my husband that I think I might be going out of my mind!:confused2:
  15. Hello all, My surgery day is also August 14th, in Little Rock Arkansas with Dr. Wellborn. I am very excited! One lab to go tomorrow (redoing thyroid) and then on Thursday have to start 800 calories per day, but do get to do solids. :wink2:
