Fill question
My doctor recommends liquids for the first 48 hours and mushies the 48 hours after that postfill. There is just not any clear definition of what to do before. Thanks for the advice though.

Fill question
I have my third fill today...should I not eat? What is the rule?

Fertility? Or not fertility?
I have PCOS and I have not seen any results yet. I am 4 months out but I had the procedure for the same reason...to be able to have a baby. I was told I will never have kids and this was at a weight of 195lb. I am trying to stay positive but I am not losing weight and my doctor tells me it is that much harder when you do have PCOS to lose the weight. So I just keep hope...that maybe one day I will be able to be PCOS free and have children. So good luck.

How much will my doc give me on my 2nd fill?
I had my second fill yesterday and my doctor gave me only 0.2 cc increasing me from 5.5 ccs to 5.7 ccs. His rule of thumb to determine how much to give me is how much I eat and how long I stay satisfied. I usually eat around a cup to a cup and a half and I stay full for an hour or two, longer if I don't drink anything for a few hours. After the fill he recommends that I do 2 days liquid then 2 days mushies. After that the swelling should have subsided and I can eat regular food. I didn't notice the difference at first but a day later I can tell just from drinking. So good luck.

Hungry after 1st Fill
I had my first fill 2 weeks ago and I am always hungry myself and even more frustrating than that I am not losing weight. I workout 5 times a week and I am eating 2 x a day in addition to drinking my 2 protein drinks. My portions are about a cup and I am still not losing weight. I do have PCOS so I don't know what to do to about this. Does anyone have any suggestions?

What can I eat???
My only advice is get the magic bullet blender. This thing is amazing. I was eating pureed veggies, pasta, u name it. It is absolutely wonderful and made a big difference in my life. So try it.:rolleyes2:

sleep...will it be normal again?
It took me about 4 weeks as well. I hate sleeping on my back but you do what you have to when you are in pain. So be patient...It will all work out.:rolleyes2:

how long till we can try to have a baby?
That is why I got banded...I have PCOS which makes me infertile due to nonexistent ovulation. I am hopeful with losing weight I might start ovulating and be able to have a baby. My doctor says to wait for at least 2 years for the weight loss to stabilize. He says that if you get pregnant before that you can risk malnutrition of you and the fetus due to the lack of nutrients you will be receiving from the smaller portions of food and Vitamins alone can't help. So be careful.

HELP...Sharp Pain in stomach
3 weeks post op and woke up this morning with intense sharp pain in stomach. It feels like it is around or near my band. I haven't taken any pain medication throughout this whole process, even after the sugery...and this pain is much stronger. The pain is strong and I am curious if I should go to the emergency room. I originally thought it was the way I was laying as I can only lay on my back and tried to lay on my side, but that was not it. I thought it was gas and tried moving around but that made no difference either. Has anyone else experienced this? Am I freaking out for no reason...please help?

Taking Pills?
According to my doctor you have to take 2 multivamins and 2 calcuim a day. The reason for the pills is because liquid and chewables make me sick. Which is not good once banded. Another big no no is flintstones as they do not provide the same nutritional value as the Multivitamin. Also...just an FYI, I don't eat chocolate, can't stand the smell. I know I am weird.

Taking Pills?
I am three weeks post-op and my doctor has told me that I can take pills now because I keep getting sick from chewables. Has anyone else started taking pills in place of Multivitamins, Calcium, pain relievers? I just want to make sure this is really okay. Multivitamins are rather large and I am afraid it will get stuck.

Will there be issues if you eat food to early?
I have no problem eating less as food is not an issue with me nor the cause of my inability to lose weight. I am following what my doctor tells me but I am getting conflicting information and that is why I am questioning this.
