First of all I wish this site was user friendly. I can't seem to work it very well. Last week I got an adjustment and I didn't think it was to was tight, but really didn't want it to be to tight. I had to go see Dr. Allen today to get some of the fluids taken out so I could eat and drink. In five days, I lost another six lbs. So there was my sign that it was to tight. I now have lost 109 lbs. I just didn't want to admit it to myself. I will just have to see where I go from here now.

Hello, It's been along time since I have been on the site. Life has been happening. I am going to upload some new pics soon. It's been almost 2 years since my surgery and I have lost 103 lbs., about 40 more lbs to go. When I think about the journey, I can't believe it, WOW! I never thought I would get to this point. Stacy

Hi Lavetta, I have almost called you several times, but I didn't want to bother you. It felt very weird. He only put in 3 cc in, is that normal? At times, I feel that I can eat more than I should and other times, I get full very easy. I have lost 30 lbs in two months. I am only getting weighed when I go see Dr. Allen. I don't want to get crazy with my scale. Nice to hear from you.
  6. I didn't realize the band was at the bottom of the esophagus, I thought it was on part of the stomach. I learn something new every day on this site. Are you better now?
  7. I had a bit of anxiety after my surgery. I was so ready to lose my weight. It took me time to relax afterwards. I had to get my head in shape before I could my body. I had to think of a healthy program for me and then when I was up to it, then I started putting the program in place. Now, two months later, I am relaxed, and I down 30 lbs and into a exercise program, eating a lot less. Hang in there and be kind to your body.
  8. I can't beleive you had to go through all that with your first fill. I had mine today and I had 3 cc also. But I was lucky they got me on the first hit. They told me as I continue to lose weight the port will get closer to my skin and easier to get to. You have done great so far. I have lost 27 pounds in two months with not fill. The next fill will be better.
  9. The pre-op is usually two weeks before the surgery. But I started a month before my surgery date. Cutting all carbs, trying to shrink my liver so there would not be any problems during the surgery and to help the doctor get to my stomach easier. The more weight you lose before surgery is better for you and the easier for the doctor. Hang in there, your surgery date will be here before you know it.

Hello All, I went to see Dr. Allen today and I have lost 27 pounds in two months. I recieved my first adjustment and WOW it felt so weird. It really didn't hurt, but filling the port moved around inside, that was weird. My port area is a bit sore. Is it suppose to feel that way afterwards? They told me fluids for the next 48 hours, man, I am already hungry just thinking about no food. Anyway, I guess I will be just fine. Stacy

Hello All, Well, I finally got the internet back so I could keep in touch with you all and get some support and see how everyone is doing. It's been 2 months and I have not had a tighten yet. Is that usually? My doctor said that since I am losing weight he doesn't want to tighten the band just yet. It's a bit scary for one that loves to eat. I have lost 20 pounds in my first month, but I go back to the doctor this Thursday and I can't wait to see what the scales tells me. I only get weighed when I go see the doctor. Everyone keeps asking me how much have you lost now. I am trying not to get scale crazy. Just trying to do the correct thing. Eat small amounts and exercise. And let my clothes talk to me. Talk to ya soon
