  1. I agree with MayMay21. I just had surgery on Monday 12/20.... but my first day and a half home I was so weak and nauseated that trying to drink protein shakes made me vomit almost immediately . So the last 2 mornings I've started slowly with one water then, 15 minutes later I switch to a mix of half ounce water & a half ounce protein shake for most of the rest of the day. I've been able to keep it down and now I feel much better...no more weakness, dizziness or nausea. Good luck!
  2. Good Morning & Happy Holidays Surgery Buds! I'm 4 days Post-Op (Surgery was Mon 12/20/21) and have been experiencing painful hunger pains since yesterday evening. I've been careful to ensure LOTS of fluids (mostly water & protein shakes) every 10-15 minutes as directed by my care team. I've been sure to get 64 + ounces of fluid daily. Still the pangs persist. Has anyone else experienced this or know how I might get them to subside? Thanks & Good Luck everyone!
  3. Hello everyone! Awesome to find an online community for this . My surgery (sleeve) was scheduled last minute for 12/20/21. I'm excited; but worried because I was only given 9 days to follow the liquid pre-op diet. Today would be beginning day 6, and I'm only down 4lbs. Will that be enough? I've read the expectation is between 10-15 lbs and I've heard if the liver hasn't shrunk surgery can be cancelled. Are these valid concerns or am I worrying for nothing? I hope everything is going well for you all-Happy Holidays!
