Hi everyone, my surgery went great! Not much pain just a lot of gas. This is post-op day 3. Try to get all the fluids & protein down. Everything seems to makes my stomach rumble. My doctor has me taking Mobic daily to keep pain to a minimal, but makes me sleepy. I haven’t weighed yet. Maybe tomorrow.

I am also on 2/17!! We got this!

Walking is really the best thing you can do for the gas pain.

I done the milk diet for 2 weeks pre op, lost 16lb and had a headache the whole time despite drinking 3L of water but I just kept reminding myself why and my goals and it made it bearable. Good luck ?

Day 2 and I’m feeling really good! I was home 7 hours after checking into the hospital. Anesthesia kicked my butt so I slept for hours. I wouldn’t say pain but discomfort and exhaustion initially. I went for a walk this morning and made it around the whole block. Now it’s just focusing on hydration.

How is everyone else doing?

Insurance approved my surgery!! Submitted on 1/28 and approved on 2/1. Pre-op diet starts 2/7 and surgery on 2/17!!!

I’m also 3 days post-op. Everything’s gone smoothly so far, thank goodness. I’m at home and getting used to the full liquid phase. Strained cream of chicken soup and Premier chocolate shakes are my buddies right now.

My surgeon just delivered a bear in honor of my Bariatric surgery. I am hoping to be ready to leave the hospital by 2:30!

I got my date when I went for my final pre-op appt with my surgeon. He's scheduling 2 months out. Insurance has already approved. I have Blue Cross Blue Shield.
