  1. Nowadays lapband is removable. You can ask your family doctor to refer you for removal. There is a surgeon Dr. David Urbach.
  2. How was your surgery experience??
  3. Hi how did your surgery experience go? I am waiting for an appointment with Dr. Hagen. I have a Lapband and hope to revise to a sleeve.
  4. I am sorry to hear this. I got pneumonia once from the band it was awful and scary. How do you feel without the band in terms of hunger now?
  5. I have had the band for 13 years now. It's doing nothing inside me. I have it loose so I don't get complications. I trying to find out if and when it should be removed, especially if it's doing nothing. I don't want to find out 5 years later that I need surgery and it started to cause internal issues. To remove or not to remove?? How long does the actual material last or deteriorate inside ? Help! I am in Ontario and need some real honest answers if anyone can direct me. Thanks.
