  1. Thanks. I’m on day 2 now and it’s not too bad. The only problem I have is that with drinking all this water, I’m spending half my day running to the bathroom. I’m also freezing from drinking all this water!
  2. Be thankful you’re not hungry. I’m on day one of my three week pre op diet and I’m definitely hungry. I’m hoping this gets better.
  3. I would try a different pulmonologist. I had the same issue but with the gastroenterologist and scheduling my endoscopy. The first dr I went to couldn’t get my endoscopy scheduled before March 25. I found another dr on my own who could do it sooner and was able to have my endoscopy done last week. Now when I see my surgeon tomorrow, all my requirements are done and we can hopefully schedule the date.
  4. My first meeting lasted almost 2 hours. The first hour I met with the surgeon. He had a PowerPoint presentation on his computer that gave an overview of the different WL surgeries available and explained the entire procedure. It was very informative. Then I sat with the nurse coordinator and she gave me a binder with all the information in it. She also gave me a checklist and went through all the appointments and tests I would need to have done prior to surgery.
  5. I’ve had to do all of those plus an endoscopy. I’m doing the endoscopy this Wednesday and then I’m finished with all my pre op! Next I see the surgeon for a date of the operation!
  6. Long Island here. I’ve got my first appointment with the surgeon tomorrow to discuss WL surgery. I’m getting very nervous just thinking about it. I have a hard time talking about being overweight with people but I guess I’ll have to get over it. I’m hoping to get the surgery in early 2022 if all goes well.
