  1. The carbination is too much for your pouch to handle and can cause it to stretch even if you burp not all of the gas will come out. Hope this helps.
  2. My Surgeon says that you should go into this thinking "well I can try it" this is for life. Once the band is gone, your weight will come back as your stomach will naturally be bigger then your "pouch".
  3. The liquid diet is supposed to be for after your banding. You are supposed to lose approx. 10 lbs (or however much is instructed by your surgeon) Of course your Surgeon's word comes first but it is odd that they instructed you to follow the liquid diet BEFORE your banding.   7. Hi, I know with the lap band you get tighter with stress and this can result in not being able to eat anything but liquids. See the Dr. ASAP. Best of Luck.
