I just realized I'm 4 months out from surgery tomorrow! So far, 70 lbs lost and a world of difference in how I feel. I can't get over how much less pain I'm in - my feet, legs, everything. I was so worried because I have had two knee replacements and my knees and lower legs were killing me at 312 lbs - now that's all gone. Sometimes the weight loss seems very slow, but I was told by my surgeon this would happen and it would slow down to 6 to 8 lbs a month. It's pretty consistently been 6 lbs for me. I weigh myself weekly, and sometimes it's 8 or 10 days before I see another little bump down. It's easier to drink liquids with meals now - that was kind of annoying for awhile having to wait 20 or 30 minutes after eating to drink liquids! If I never lose another pound and stay right where I am, I'd say it's well worth it, but I plan to lose another 70 lbs and hopefully even a little more than that before I level out. I wish I had done this years ago.
