  1. I also had my surgery on August 7th and I'm feeling the same things. I left work early yesterday and today because it hurt so bad to sit still and upright. My understanding is that it's still normal for the first 2-3 weeks. My doc said not to worry. Hang in there.
  2. I believe that with most docs, if you pay using your insurance, they pretty much charge for everything that comes up. Is there a way for you to cobra your insurance until everything falls into place for you? It can be expensive, but it might be a better alternative. I just left a job and it's about $300 a month to cobra my insurance for upto 18 months. Good luck!
  3. Surprised to see that so many of you have very minimial if any pre-op diet. I met with the nurse today and she said 2 week pre-op diet of 800-900 calories. YAY! I was expecting it to be a 2 week liquid diet for some reason, so I guess there's an upside to things  Surgery is August 7th... can't wait! Best wishes to everyone--glad to have such a good group of people!
  4. My surgery is set for August 7th with Dr. Alldredge in Salt Lake City, Utah.. I'd love to be apart of the August group as well! Thanks!
