  1. Has anyone tried the Tonal system for workouts at home? My husband wants to get one that both of us can use, to build more fat-burning muscle. Any feedback? TIA!
  2. Or, you could be in ketosis. If you are taking in a lot of protein and not many carbs, it might be ketosis breath!
  3. I have only tried spinach - cooked in my scrambled egg. I buy fresh, freeze it immediately, and crumble up into tiny pieces so it blends in well. I plan to try severely mashed green beans next.
  4. Same here...I am so drained in the morning. It us not quite so bad since I started on soft foods yesterday, but my doctor told me I should be walking 30 minutes a day. I can barely make it around the yard once before having to sit for a while. I hope this will pass soon.
  5. I was on my pre-op diet for a little over 3 weeks and lost 22 pounds. My surgery date was 8/25 and I have lost an additional 13 pounds. As silly as it sounds, I am paranoid about gaining weight once I start eating soft foods in a couple of days, and then solid foods the week after that. I am already dreading the 3-week stall that a lot of folks are talking about. I have a follow up with my surgeon on Thursday, and will see what he says.
  6. Pre-Op? In the First Month Post-Op? One-Three Months Post-Op? Three-Six Months Post Op? Just curious. Many people lose quite a bit on the pre-op diet a month or two, or more, before surgery. I would assume that the pre-op clear liquid diet would yield more of a loss, but some people have just as much quick loss on the clear liquids post-op, leading up to solid foods. Please chime in - thanks!
  7. I had trouble with getting my liquids in until I tried warm/hot herb tea. It seemed to help going down into my stomach, and I did not experience that knot of pain in my sternum that I sometimes get drinking cool water. Now I don't have any trouble getting my liquids in. The protein, however, is still a struggle. Starting full liquids tomorrow, so I can finally have my low fat creamed soups, V-8 and my full strength Premier Protein (instead of the yucky clear stuff). That will definitely help with the protein. Also, Bariatric Boy, I feel your misery with the drained feeling. I was fine for a couple of days but today, I could barely walk across the floor this morning, let alone walking 30 minutes a day! I don't know how people do it!
  8. I would almost kill for some scrambled eggs and V-8 juice...anything savory, and not sweet!
  9. Hello, all! I was sleeved on 8/25/21. The worst pain for me was from the gas. But after taking Gas-X and walking a bit the first couple of days, that pain disappeared. I did sleep a lot, but today I am feeling no pain at all. But I am looking forward to going from clear liquids to full liquids in a couple of days. I am so happy I found this forum!
