  1. Hi all..I'm glad to have found this awesome site. I'm very interested in lap band surgery, but I'm afraid I'm going to run into insurance problems. Off to post in the insurance section.
  2. Hi there, I'm going to be a public school teacher this fall in Georgia, and have recently found out that lap band is not covered!! I want the surgery and feel I am a good candidate, so I don't want to be covered under the state's plan. I'm thinking about purchasing a plan with a provider outside of my job, if this is allowed. Can someone point me in the right direction? My BMI is 44 and I've been overweight for 10 years with a medical history to back it up. Can someone help?? :thumbup:
