I'm having the same problem. I can't seem to lose the last 10. I just joined the gym hoping that will help and I'm thinking of going back on the protein shakes to see if that will help. Has anyone gone back to the 2 week pre-surgery diet to help lose some weight and keep it off for the last few pounds?? Any advice will help. TIA..

What are all the Vitamins you take a day?
spatty replied to mzlove10's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I take Bariatric Fusion Vitamins 2 in the am and 2 in the pm and 1 B12 5000mg on Mondays because of the high dosage. Surgery was in June and I will have my lab work done in September to see if they need to revise it. -
What goes in must come out. Protein shakes will block you. I'm still drinking some after my surgery. I take 1 senekot every night to help me out. The doctor said even if your on fluids your body turns it into nutrients and it has to come out. Poop away.

I had a salad 1.5 months after my surgery. Not good. Felt the pain. So I just ate the black beans, corn, tomatoes and cheese.

I took a 7 days off not including the two weekends in between. I have a desk job. But I take public transportation and I do some walking at work but I walk in the building for exercise. I leave the lifting for the men at work. I had no issues with my surgery. Everyone is different.

My surgery was on 6/17. I wore the nightgown provided as the hospital did not allow me to bring many items. I did have an IV overnight. Once out of recovery and in my room I had to start drinking 4 ounces of Water every hour. The nurses are vigilant in making sure you do this. They wake you up to make sure you do this!! They helped me to the restroom with my IV bag in the middle of the night. But in the morning because I drank my fluids they discontinued my IV bag which was more than half empty. I was up by 5:30 am and started walking the nurses station by myself still had the IV bag but by 7am they removed it and did so almost every hour. I did shower and dressed in my going home clothes which were the same comfy clothes I wore coming to the hospital. I drank water all day long the day before surgery No food and 8oz of Gatorade at 11 pm the night before and 2hrs before arrival with meds prescribed by the doctor. I took my phone and charger along with my headphones which I never used. The only thing I did use was the lib balm so make sure you take lip balm. No time for music or talking on the phone. Your busy drinking, peeing and walking. Good luck with your surgery and with the new chapter you are about to embark on.

I’m up in July. Couple of questions. Were you able to change into you own nightgown? Did you have an IV overnight? Did you have an IV while walking around to release gas? Did you shower at the hospital? Did you abstain from Water prior to surgery? Thank you in advance!

Are you getting all your fluids in? With it being summer and warm maybe dehydration? I'm sorry you're having problems with exhaustion. Not sure of what your diet consists of but I am have four shakes and a very small dinner and minimum 64 ounces of water a day. I have no exhaustion, no hunger and walking and being active.

Two weeks away for me. Started the LSD today. I have my pre-op appointment with the surgeon next Thursday and I do believe just like you I will be tearing up like you from many emotions. Can't wait.
