  1. I am searching for the green zone! HElP!
  2. I feel like I should be in the green for the amount of fills I have had - I have 7.5 in a 10 cc realize band but, I am HUNGRY!
  3. Hey, it has been a long time since I have been to this site. I find myself really struggeling with my band. lately, I feel like I am even sabataging myself (well, I know I am) I take two steps forward and three back. I didn't get any advice from a nutritionist prior to surgery and i find myself struggeling with what to eat. I don't get sick very often at all and i just don't know if my band is where it should be. Would you share with me what you eat on a typical day? Thanks!
  4. My day was when I had to start wearing a CPAP machine at night for sleep apnea. I hated the way it made me feel and I hate for my husband and children to see me like that. I knew that the only reason I was having this problem was because I couldn't get control of my weight on my own. I honestly had NEVER even considered the surgery before then.
  5. Hey! Well I'm not really going to be any help to you but I was wondering the same thing. I am one month post op with one fill and I can still eat alot. I don't really know what I should be able to eat. I haven't "stuffed" myself since the surgery but I never really feel full like I used to. Just wondering if anyone has any insight on the subject. Good luck to you. How much have you lost??
  6. Hey Misty, I'm a TEXAS girl too. I was just banded on June 26th and am loving it so far. I always thought that I would get my weight under control myself and just considered this surgery in February of 2008. I too first went to Dr. Speigel's seminar and made the decision to have the surgery. I used Dr. Cliffton Thomas to do the surgery because I liked his manner better. Anyway, I am so happy that I have done this because now after fighting my weight for all these years I am looking forward to SUCCESS in a big way. Best of luck!
  7. Hey! Congrats, that is wonderful. I am only 2 weeks post op and I go for my first fill on Tuesday the 15th! It seems really early but I guess he knows what he is doing??? Anyway, I just wanted to say great job and keep up the good work!
  8. Hey everyone! I wanted to get to know some people in my age group who are going through this journey as well. I am 37, married, and a mother of 3 beautiful children. I am excited about this surgery and want to make the most of it. I am scheduled for my first fill July 15th and am curious as to what life will be like afterwards???
  9. Hello All! I am newly banded and this is my first time to post to this site. I am scheduled for my first fill on July 15th (surgery date was June 26th) and my doc already has me chewing and eating foods so I can let him know how much I can hold with no restriction. This seems to conflict with what most other people are doing??? Anyway, I am nervous about the fill and what to expect - any pointers would be greatly apprectiated! Thanks!
  10. Hey! Once my insurance pre certified me it was a matter of days. I got banded on June 26,08. It was quick girl.
  11. The night after my surgery (June 26, 08) I dreamed that I had my mouth stuffed with pizza and suddenly realized that I couldn't swallow! Anyway.....the food dreams have subsided now. I am really looking forward to the mushie stage though.
