I am on the same page with you right now. I’m on the third week of clear liquids post-op and I’m feeling the desire to have something but I really can’t tell if I’m really hungry or not. I think that I’m just going through a stage where I know it has been five weeks without food and I’m surrounded by it at work at times. My surgery was May 18.

I have found that this process so far is truly mental and can be draining at times. I have gotten to the point on the pre-op diet where I’m not really hungry even for the protein shakes I just have cravings and smells get to me. Someone next door to me started their bbq grill and I about lost my mind lol. I have learned this far to respect food and not abuse it.
