  1. Why do you attribute the GERD to the surgery? Bypass is actually a treatment for GERD.
  2. I've lost 95 lbs. I'm exercising and I feel good most days. I don't use oxygen anymore! I've had only 1 knee injection since before the surgery. No spine or shoulder injections,, which I had regularly. I do my walk everyday; even when it hurts and find that at the end of 45 minutes, I don't hurt anymore. I wish I'd done this years ago.
  3. I had heard so bapd Pi sometimes couldn't talk for coughing. Since the surgery on May 27, my cough is rare.
  4. My doctor's PA made me promise not to weigh until the 5week post op visit. She said otherwise I would break my own heart because weight fluctuates after surgery.
  5. Super sorry to read this. Praying for you a s this gets resolved.
  6. You have great taste. I love the two piece most. So excited for your#hotgirlsummer.
  7. Are you looking online? Depending on your size, even Victoria's Secret has options with built in support for your tummy. Get ready for your Hot Girl Summer! And check back. I'm not ready for a swimsuit but I want to live vicariously. lol
  8. I'm going to just put this out there. Whenever I tell a doctor in clear terms that I am suffering and they don't act to alleviate my concerns, I get another opinion. It sounds like you have no quality of life. Think back to why you had the surgery and what you expected to gain. I don't think this is it. Sending my prayers your way.
  9. Who knew?! Thanks.
  10. I think you're right. Let me know how the maple experiment turns out!
  11. Sister, what's wrong with being high maintenance? You want what you want and that's okay. Besides, as good as you look, how can you embarass your husband? You're strong and beautiful. Own it!
  12. The liquid off Campbell's chicken noodle soup feels and tastes like heaven. Just dilute it. Also watery cream of wheat with blueberry puree! Good eating. lol
  13. I am 5 days out and so blessed. My lower right side is still tender, but otherwise I am doing well. I haven't fit all my food in yet, and I hate all the shakes I once loved, but that's minor. Feeling good!
  14. I think you're excreting the anaesthesia?
  15. Everything is different. I keep repeating, "You brought this on yourself." #brutal
  16. Counting down to check in at 7a tomorrow morning. I'm second in line for the surgery, and I'm ready. No more doubts, anxiety or second guessing. Just peace. I lost 50 pounds on the preop diet. After being cancelled on January 7 because of covid, I just kept up the liquid diet, adding 1 meal a day. I'm ready for the next 50! Talk to y'all on the other side!
  17. So happy for you! This gives me hope and really motivates. Thank you for posting.
  18. I am praying alongside you for a better tomorrow. So sorry for what you're going through but it will get better. The pain will subside and you will be super proud of how far you've come.
  19. I understand. My fear is the "I told you so.". When my surgery was postponed bc of covid I was on my 2nd week of liquid. I modified the diet and kept losing. At 47 lbs lost they've decided that's enough. It's not enough for me.
  20. May 27. Gastric bypass. My family is not on board but I am going forward.
