  4. I also would do it to chunky type of foods like Olive Garden's Zuppa Tascano (potato, sausage, and Kale) so that it would go down smooth etc. Stuff like the Kale would definitely get stuck, etc. Basically, you just make stuff mushy.
  5. I couldn't tell a difference until I had 2 or 3 fills....then I finally knew I had a lapband.
  6. There is a HUGE thread like this already under Food & Nutrition........go check it out.....
  7. Yeah, you definitely need a slight unfill and him giving you a 2.5 cc fill is a pretty drastic fill. My doctor inched me up to it by no more than a 1-1.25 cc fill at a time. You can damage our band if you allow it to continue with the PBing. Don't feel guilty ever about going in to get it right. They would rather you come in then wait and cause damage. Trust me.
  8. I was self pay and rec'd free adjustments/fills for the first year in the price I paid. Now, I have to pay $250 per fill.
  9. I used to be able to eat bread, pasta and rice in small doses or if I chewed really, really well. However, this all ended with my last fill/adjustmentl--NO MORE! It just gets stuck and its too painful. I will however, eat the crust of bread when we go out to eat but i have to put a ton of butter on it.

  20. The pain was not that bad at all....the advice I will give you is to get up and move around and walk, walk, walk! It will get rid of the gas which is the most painful part of the whole surgery! Good Luck.....
  21. I think your stomach growling if fine. Mine growled and i was starving the first few weeks. Just keep drinking and eating what they tell you to do. The best advice I will give is to start walking TODAY! It will help you heal faster and make you feel better all around! Yes, you will lose the weight. Lapband is slower but steady. Don't listen to negative folks!
  22. Today Breakfast=nothing (had stomach issues for most of day) Lunch=Homemade Nachos w/ Bean Dip, Taco Meat, Cheese, Sour Cream & Salsa Dinner=Tomatoe Soup w/ Crackers No Exercise Either!
  23. Yeah......I find that I float about 2 lbs overnight. I feel like I am stuck though at my current weight and it is not moving down. I guess it is just a plateau and I am trying to take the advice I have given others which is to be patient with it! LOL
  24. Has anyone out here had a rotator cuff surgery or any other orthopedic surgery since being banded? I find out next week but it looks like I might need surgery done on my shoulder. If so, did you leave your band as is during the surgery and after the surgery or did you have an unfill? Any advice would be appreciated.
