  1. My surgery date was also April 6th. Are you tracking calories by chance, logging your food, etc? Also, for me I see progress when I’m being good with my water intake.

  3. I’m doing the multi vitamin patches too. I tried several vitamins but couldn’t tolerate any of them. So my doc said the patch would be a good alternative.

  5. I think I’m going to try setting alarms on my phone so I don’t forget to eat or prioritize other things. I’m pretty discouraged on how weight loss has stalled the last couple weeks.
  6. I really didn’t notice getting hungry until about a week or so ago.
  7. I’m only getting about 2 oz at a time down but definitely skipping meals and snacks due to work craziness. I think maybe I just miss eating in general.. maybe this is the head hunger. I mean, I just want a dang taco lol
  8. Hi everyone. I’m 6 weeks post op and m finding I’m getting much hungrier throughout the day. I’m definitely focused on liquid intake and protein but I’m curious how many calories folks are taking in that are at a similar post op point. I’m paranoid I’m eating too many.
  9. I can only get down about 1.5 ounces if it’s chicken or Turkey. Something like cottage cheese or yogurt I’m closer to the 2.5 ounce mark.
  10. I am eating tuna. I’ve made tuna salad with hard boiled eggs, low fat mayo, sugar free relish. But I’m kind of burnt out on tuna because I ate that quite a bit on puréed diet. Im going to attempt eating halibut this weekend since my dog said white flaky fish is good on soft foods.
  11. I also moved to soft foods this week and I’m allowed to have bread, if it’s toasted. I have sugar free whole wheat bread I found and I toasted that, put a bit of mashed avocado on it, topped with a hard boiled egg. It’s really good. I can’t finish the whole thing, only about a 1/4 to 1/3 but then I eat the rest for lunch.
  12. Crystal light just started to make me feel weird the other day. I tried Mio and it’s great!
  13. Sounds like you’re doing really well! I’m horrible with a good schedule. My work schedule is so crazy I have a very hard time finding time to eat during the day. Definitely need to work on a schedule. Do you use an alarm or anything?
  14. Had my sleeve on 6th.. so, 3 weeks for me. I still have a week left of puréed foods. It’s been an emotional roller coaster! I went back to work after 4 days, probably was a bit over zealous bc the fatigue is still getting to me. I can’t wait to actually bite into something. I’m also experiencing a slight stall so trying to stay off scale for a few days!!
  15. It gets better! The first few days I was uncomfortable but I’m about 3 weeks out now and I can tell you it does get better. I think physically I felt much better about a week out. Everyone’s different but definitely staying hydrated was key I think.
  16. Sorry about the throat pain. Have you looked into the patch vitamins? I haven’t started anything besides B12 right now but I’ve heard good things about patches. Great job with the walking. You’re killing it!
  17. I had a completely torn throat and busted lip coming out of surgery from the intubation. Around the third day, when I stopped pain meds, it was excruciating. My doc said gargling salt water was slowed to help with healing.
