  1. Ricotta Bake--8 oz. Ricotta, half cup grated parmesan cheese, 1 large egg beaten, 1 tsp Italian herbs, salt & pepper, half cup pasta sauce, half cup reduced fat mozzarella cheese. Preheat oven 425, mix all together but sauce and mozzarella. Put in baking dish, top with sauce and mozzarella. Bake for 20-25 ,minutes. Let cool slightly.....yummy and I don't even like Ricotta
  2. Has anyone had an issue with anxiety? I am 6 weeks post op and about a week ago I noticed that I was experiencing anxiety, enough that I don't even want to leave the house! I wanted to know if anyone else has or is experiencing this, there is nothing else going on in my life to warrant this, very puzzling.
  3. You know it's funny I seem to buy more, my husband even said you aren't eating anything how come the grocery bills are so high, than I realized I go to the store hungry and remember they always say don't go hungry shopping, I told him it's all for him. He says I couldn't eat all that food if I was starving lol, honestly I just think it's wishful thinking to be able to eat the food, I am 6 weeks out post. I have 2 more weeks before solid food. Protein shakes and powders and healthy foods are expensive too. Thanks that's my take for the day. ?
  4. I just had my 5 week check up and dr told me that with the rapid weight loss it makes your body tired, it's fighting it. Other than that all is good with me ?
  5. I will try that, I do eat a lot of chicken. Thanks
  6. I am 5 weeks post op, and today I am having one of those days when I feel so hungry, I have had two protein shakes, a string cheese, and some mini pickles in 2 hours and still feel like I can eat more!
  7. Thank you everyone for your suggestions
  8. Bariatric pal has a lot of chips you can purchase, they have bbq, ranch, salt & vinegar, pizza crunch. They are a little like rice cakes but better for you.
  9. Can you eat the apples without the skin?
  10. What do you find is good snacks?
  11. I really like the premier cafe latte, the coffee in the shake also helps with going to the bathroom, I also add peanut butter protein powder some days, other days bananas. With the strawberry or peach ones I had fresh fruit. It's yummy I think and also helps with a little sweet craving
  12. I am one month today post op, I still find that drinking the protein shakes is still good at least once a day. Pureed foods are getting boring and until I see my surgeon on the 24th I can't move to soft foods, so I just add different things to my shakes and can tolerate better.
  13. I also had my sleeve on 4/15, and also down 29 pounds and was feeling like it didn't seem like enough, but than I was told that when you look at it it's 1 pound a day. That's actually a lot. In 3 months that's 100 pounds. Wow, it amazes me now when I think about it. As long as you are following the program it will be all off in no time. Your doing great hang in there.
  14. April 15 also, doing good, how about you?
  15. Wow, your the only other person I have noticed that mentioned the runny nose, it's so strange but I sneeze than blow my nose and it's gone. I'm going to have to ask the doctor about that one, weird.
  16. Are you all eating tuna and if so, is it plain or do you add something to it?
  17. I had that for over a week, dr said gas and needing to have a BM, I tried all he said to do and it still wasn't going away, finally had a decent BM and pain got better but still comes back occasionally
  18. I tried the ricotta bake for dinner, I'm not a huge fan of ricotta so I did half ricotta and half fat free cream cheese. Wow, it was so good. I need to start stool softener for all the cheese but, might be worth it. ?
  19. Not sure my last post went to the right place, so I will try again I found mine at Target not to expensive and I can mix with anything
  20. I found mine at Target, not to expensive. When I was doing my pre-OP, I didn't like them that much but now post-OP they are pretty good I mix them with a lot of things.
  21. They have shakes that are milk free like fairlife they are pretty good
  22. I was told with the sleeve the part of the stomach that they cut out is the part that tells you your hungry?
  23. When does the half of the stomach they cut away for the sleeve take over to tell you aren't hungry anymore?
  24. I am only 2 weeks post op, and already eating ground up burger for my tacos, I actually found I don't like the tortillas right now, but beef, onion, cheese and a little tomato. Yum , your life is going to chance drastically in the beginning especially, but the fact that you are obsessed with food you don't think you can have, my opinion is you still need some counseling or deep thoughts. Good Luck
