  1. I think I was posting the wrong code on the ticker site. Other than that I have no clue lol!
  2. Wait now where did it go?
  3. Thanks so much!! I was definetly putting it in the wrong place! oops!
  4. I am not sure even where to post this but ....can someone tell me how to post a weight loss ticker? Sorry for computer-illiteracy.
  5. I am also being banded on january 5th. I am excited but slowly getting a lil nervous. I was on medifast and took this past week off. Bad move. I need to get back on track....i have gained 2lbs.
  6. Congratulations!!! I am being banded on Jan 5th!!!
  7. Bellabean...., It looks like we have a lot in common....I have the same surgery date and our starting weight and goal are the same! Weird. I began the process at 252...I weigh 232 now and my goal is 150. We are going to have some great notes to compare. Just out of curiosity how tall are you?
  8. I got insurance approval this morning!!!!!!!!!!!! I am soooooooo happy!!!!
  9. It was weird. I could over hear them talking and they didn't have all my info and then I heard them say I had a borderline bmi for insurance approval. Once the dr came into the room I was more calm. Apparently they just didnt have all the pieces of my chart. It also helped that the surgeon is very handsome and I had to hold back the giggles. But overall it went well and this morning I got a call from CDPHP (my insurance company) that I have been approved for surgery!!!!!! Two days!!! I feel semi-guilty b/c of others who wait forever for insurance approval!
  10. Oh good we can compare recovery notes. Have you met with the surgeon yet?
  11. I am getting banded on January 5th, 2008!!!!!! I have waited so long to say that!!! (well not as long as some but long enough) I was "pencilled in" but now I am on the schedule per my doc!!!!!! Pre-op with surgeon on wednesday!!!
  12. I have some people in my life that think they are the "eating disorder police" I could just totally see them having a field day with this one.
  13. Due to the small amounts of food and weight-loss and vomiting risk...I was wondering if anyone has been accused of having an eating disorder. I don't plan on telling very many people about the band and have nosy friends and family that I could see making these assumptions. Has anyone encountered this?
  14. They have been doing the procedure the longest in my area and I heard great thing about the group.
  15. My docs suggested walking. I have been slacking lately due to school...but...I was walking around 3 miles a day. I plan on starting that back up next week. Running of course is the best way but it is really hard on your body. I used to do 3minutes of walking 3 minutes of jogging plus 5 min warm-up/cool down periods for a total of 40 minutes. I felt awsome when I was doing that.
  16. Definitely adding some of those to my list of questions. Thank you. Anyone else?
  17. I've been really nervous about hoop jumping but so far it hasn't been anything unexpected. Pulmonolgist, Psych Eval, Several visits with the nutritionist and nutrition doctor, 2 Support groups, an educational session ,a pre-op appt with the surgeon ......and a partridge in a pear tree:wink2:! I have my final final visit with nutrition MD on monday where she supposedly is going to "sign off" on surgery and then wednesday pre-op with surgeon. After that it will be in the insurance gods hands.
  18. Hello all, I have my pre-op appointment with the surgeon next week and I am trying to put together a good solid list of questions I should/want to ask him. I was wondering if anyone had tips or advice? Also if there was a question you wished you had asked? Thanks so much!
  19. when does the "january bandster" thread get started? Congrats on your date!
  20. I sure do hope thats the case for me. I am in school and am trying to fit it in over christmas break. I am not sure I will feel better until I am laying on the or table!! lol
  21. I had to see a nutritionist to monitor my 10% weight loss like 4 or so times. I also have to see a Doctor that specializes in nutrition...she "manages" my case pretty much and is the one to sign off on surgery (she tells the surgeon I am a good candidate and have consistently lost weight). I have meet with her 3x's and have my final on the first of dec. It has been an agonizing process. I just want to say yay I have a date like so many others say. Instead I get to say "i'm pencilled in"
  22. I have been pencilled in for the 5th of January!!!!!
  23. I am not sure if I should be excited or not. I have been pencilled in for surgery January 5th. I have one more appt on Dec 1st. My Nurtion DR said if all goes well I will be signed off for surgery and good to go. (she said that in a matter of fact way) It has been such a long journey I just don't want to get too excited. Any advice? or comments? definetly welcome!
