  1. So i have to do a liver shrinking diet 2 weeks prior to surgery. Which is substituting 2 meals w/ protein drink from an approved list. 2 snacks low calorie or fat free yogurt, cottage cheese or 1/2 of fruit and 1 meal consisting of 4 oz lean protein and vegetables. Except corn, sweet potatoes, lima beans and potatoes. 64 oz of water. I should have no problems because i basically been eating this was since February.
  2. Yea i was thinking that too. My surgery date is 04/29 @ 7:30am. I wish it was sooner. Lol
  3. Hi @DaisyAndSunshine I also have pcos and after continous research i chose gastric bypass. The weight loss is more permanent with the bypass and I dont have to worry about becoming diabetic. But good luck with your decision and just look into stories of females with pcos that had weight loss surgery.
  4. Yes I already been approved. My surgery is on 04/29. All I have left to do is a pre op nutrition class on 04/08. A physical on 04/14 , consents on 04/20, covid test on 04/24. But I was just wondering because I haven't heard anything about doing a liquid diet. Thanks for your response
  5. O ok. Because I was wondering and I haven't heard anything so far about a liquid diet and surgery is on 04/29. Thanks @catwomen7 you are such a biggg help with this?
  6. I did pre op testing today. I did chest xray, ekg and blood work. However, i had to make another appt for blood work because i had no vines available. I am so mad at that. Anyway I know people are talking about being put a liquid diet. So I thought they was going to tell me when I start. But that wasnt the case. So can somebody tell me at what stage does the liquid diet starts?
  7. Congrats and good luck to u as well.
  8. ??...you got this Mark P3
  9. Wow...all I can say is wow. It seems like alot surgeries are happening in April including mines on 04/29. I see some same dates for surgery, but no one has my same date yet. Lol However I want to wish everyone a successful and wonderful surgery!
  10. I am also scheduled in april for the 29th. I am not nervous. I prepare myself emotionally by thinking about the positive aspects of getting bypass surgery. Actually I feel like 04/29 couldnt get here fast enough for me.
  11. I have Cigna and i did not have to do a 6 month supervised diet. I was told i only was required to do 1 nutrition class and that I couldnt gain any weight.
  12. Wow 5 days...not bad. My pre op testing is on 04/05. Hopefully mines wont be too long either.
  13. This forum definitely is helping me along the way.
  14. Wow thinks for pointing this out. I learned that my pcos is inflammatory. Which there are 4 kinds, so you have to know which category you fall under. But i always drink premier protein drinks. I will definitely stop.
  15. I have PCOS also and from my understanding of what I read. It says that gastric bypass is better, but ultimately you have to get the surgery u feel is better for you. I switched from sleeve to bypass as a result. But I feel like bypass will be more beneficial to me as my main decider.
  16. Im scheduled for 04/29. I know one thing that im is bringing biotene spray. Its been mentioned to much. Lol
  17. I was told i will have a 2 day hospital stay
  18. Thanks...Congrats 2 u as well. Im excited as well. Although I can't say that im nervous. I just thank about it being a chance to start over and live longer.
  19. Congrats to you as well.
