Kathy, I just got approved the first time around with a BMI of 32.. 5'11 and 246. I do have back problems, but that is it. Hope that helps, i would just go thorough all the needed apts and have it submitted. you just never know! My dr. said tricare was the easiest to get approved with! :thumbdown:

My dr in corpus had said great things about him. Ive also heard good things from other in town. Hope that helps...:thumbup:

I was very worried about getting denied by Tricare, but it was approved the first time around. Im 5'11 and 246. i have high cholesterol and DDD in my lower spine along with other herniations and such. Dont know if my back issue helped it along, because my bmi is a 34. Hope this helps!

Hello! Just got my aproval and my surgery date is Aug 7th. my bff is getting her's done on the 4th. nervous about the preop diet. im sure i'll do fine. i have hypoglycemia and afraid of feeling crappy inbetween shakes and diner :tongue_smilie:

Hi ladies. I need Help!!! Im in Germany.. If any on you are, who did you see? Dr. Weiner in frankfurt? Im really nervous about what to tell the dr and the whole procedure. I know you have probably told your story 100 times but i would love to know you experience with Tricare. Im going to the clinic on base on teh 15 of july. Im guessing he will give me a referral to the weight loss dr in town???? Can you primary doctor say no to even giving you a referral? I was told i would have to get a psych eval, sounded like that would have to be done and cleared before i could get the referral. Did you have that problem? What is critical that i tell the doctor at the clinic to get the referral? Did you save the "deep" stuff for the WL doctor or just tell the dr on base everthing? How about your psych eval, what is it they want to know?? what do i say or not say? what are examples of comorbids? I have a Degenative Disc Disease that is worse every year. Ive had every concervative therapy done over the last few years. Im so close to a 2 level fusion but im terrified. Im only 34 and cant imagine it! I also have Tachycardia (rapid heart rate out of the blue) it gets to like 210!!! So i have heart condition. I also have the wonderful PCOS... High Cholestrol. Do you think that is enough? from what you have heard from others?? My Bmi is 34.7... but i have all those other issues and my weight is not helping them.. Sorry for the 1000 questions....Thanks for reading.
