  1. Omg!! This makes my friggin day!! I've been wondering if I could have a snowball! My friend owns a stand, I'm in Louisiana, and she said the flavors were sugar free but it still worried me. And I looooove the spearmint and Vanilla Orchid Magic one!
  2. I was a BIG pasta eater also, but everything NovaLuna said is what I did before surgery (I havent moved up to that yet since surgery) and it satisfied me very well.
  3. I got DS when I tried tomato and cucumber salad. And when I tried turkey pepperoni as a snack. With the tomato and cucumber salad I had bad cramps for a couple hours. With the turkey pepperoni, I had vomiting for about an hour; because it came up in small tiny amounts with phlegm. It wasn't too bad for me, and I'm new to this, just 54 days out, but for some it's worse and for some its not. I hope you feel better soon.
  4. Idk. I really haven't talked talked anyone that had the bypass so I'm not sure the difference in losing the weight. Lol
  5. I very proud of myself and ehat I've accomplished though. I'm down from 329 in June of 2020 to 267 today. Surgery was December 28th.
  6. Oh dang! Yeah that's gonna suck.
  7. Thank you! I know just 8 days doesn't sound like a long time, but I was dropping at least half a pound a day and now nothing. Lol. But im hanging in!
  8. Hi all! I'm feeling a little frustrated this last week or two. I'm 53 days out and I've only lost 39 pounds. I was losing so fast, then BAM, I've been stuck at 267 since February 10th [emoji30] Please tell me it gets better!
  9. Oh thank you so much! And you're right. I guess changing it now wouldn't benefit me any more. Lol. I just didn't think of it that way. I just thought of it as always snacking and didn't wanna go back to that habit. I have been exercising and going to the gun since like day 6, so that may be why I'm doing well. Again, thank you for your encouraging words! [emoji5]
  10. What did you do to control the hunger every two hours? I have that problem! I had my sleeve done on 12/28/20 also. But my doctor didn't seem to mind that I had a slice of turkey deli meat in between the meals. I eat three times a day. But have something with protein in it between. Usually the deli meat or some stick cheese or humus. I haven't hit a stall yet though. I was 306 the day of surgery and was 268 on Tuesday.
  11. I already have a intolerance to lactose but my doctor told me that most people develop a lactose intolerance after surgery. The milk may be upsetting your stomach. You may need to make your own with almond or oat milk. I did.
  12. I had mine on 12/28/20. You will do great! I went down 24 before surgwryband 29 after. From 330 in June 2020 to 277 yesterday, January 20th. You got this!
  13. You never know. I know every doc is different. I had two friends who had the same surgery as me at two different hospitals with two other different doctors two days after me. And one was able to have oatmeal on post op day 4! I don't think I'd try it but still. Lol. And the other friend has a diet that is by days not weeks like mine.
  14. LOL. I feel ya! Even though I did the 6 month diet before surgery, and mentally and physically prepared, I still had cravings. I really want some homemade biscuits and tomato gravy! Lol. They'll get less once you start soft foods. My doctor let me start 4 days early. I'm having deli turkey slices and small pieces of cheese. Two at a time and I'm full. Lol. And once I was approved to move to some diet ocean spray juice, I felt better also. Im a water lover but I just needed something else. This was my supper.
  15. Ohhhh! I can do that?! I'm 17 days post op.
  16. You sound like you're doing great! I barely had any pain after also. I'm 17 days out today. The first week was a little rough for me. I had gas pains in places I'd never dreamed of. Lol. Like in my arms! I took the nausea meds just for a couple days. But even with feeling well, I still had moments of pain. But not many. I have also already started a workout routine. Lol. Wall push ups, easy crunches, high knees and planks. And I still don't feel bad. Good luck to you!
  17. December 28th here. I'm feeling pretty good.
