  1. Hi MassGirl77 from Oregon. I also had my surgery on Oct 23rd and even though it hasn't even been a week, I did not expect the port site to be sooooo sore. I still can't sleep on my side yet. It is also a burning pain but only off & on. My Dr. checked them all out on Monday and gave me a prescription for an antibiotic just in case>>definitly coughing is the worse but nothing seems to stop me from my favorite thing LAUGHING :>)
  2. Hang in there Little Bit! You can dO iT! I am struggleing with this pre-Op diet too>>> Let's both, like Nike~JUST DO IT! ... maybe protein is making me cornY???
  3. Hi Little Bit, I am having my surgery Oct. 23rd. It's good to know that I am not the only one scared to death! This liquid protein stuff has me making a face every time I try to swallow some. But the weird thing is that it's not that hard to do because you're so limited on the choices. I did try a Diet Dr. Pepper popsicle last night and it was horrible! Even smelled funny and I do like Dr. Pepper???
  4. Thanks it sounds scrumptious! I will try to find it in my po-dunk little town. You never know when a chocolate attack will happen and this sounds like the perfect solution for that issue!
  5. Yikes, I'm having my surgery NEXT WEEK, and I am kinda freaking out. Anyone else feel this nervous about the surgery? It's taken me 5 months to get to this point, and I wish I did not feel like running away>>I know in my heart this is the right thing to do. so why am I so whacked out? Any tips for the countdown? I've already lost over 40 pounds and can't wait till more is going bye bye! Liquid protein pre-op diet is working ok so far, but some of the stuff tastes chalky, any good brands that actually taste good out there? It would be great to hear from you...
  6. I am right there with you. I know I am scared & just the other night very seriously thought about stopping the process. (Still waiting for insurance authoirzation) So I decided to go to the support group meeting in our area which is next week. Hope I don't chicken out before then, but no I am getting my big girl pants on and going to show everyone that I can do this for my health, my life and my family. I hope it helps to know you're not alone with your fear! Hang in there and get er' done!
  7. Hi There, I am still waiting for insurance approval, so my surgery will most likely be in Sept. & my doctor has me dieting beforehand. I have lost 15 lbs. and I don't have time to cook either. One thing I have made time for is making the sugar free Jello. It seems to satisfy my sweet tooth at night. You could try this too. Then I said what the heck and joined weight watchers for what I hope is the last time. I need all the help I can get also. Good luck to you and hang in there!:cursing:
  8. Thanks for the reply, I was hoping I'd hear from someone! >>>and sorry for the misspell, I really am not waiting for the lab band to strike up the chorus :>} You are absolutely correct too!! New Life happens! big O soon to be smaller O
