carcars75 reacted to loridee11 in Weight loss2.5 months out I was down a total 75 (including pre-and post surgery) and no one had said anything. At 3 months we moved to work from home due to Covid, which meant video calls. As a result, no one really noticed until about 8 or 9 months out when my face really started to thin out. The few people I see in person notice, but it wasn't until I bought some new clothes that fit that it was obvious how much I've lost...

carcars75 reacted to Roserie in Before and After PicsI love seeing the progress people have made after surgery. So for those comfortable enough to share them I'd love to see your before and after (and even progress) pics. I haven't had surgery yet (and wont for at least another 3mths) so I don't have any to post but I still like seeing what I have to look forward to. The pic below is me at my highest of 316lbs 2hrs after my son was born.

carcars75 reacted to Hellie1028 in Nov 2020 Bypass Peeps?I’m 11/30 RNY with Dr Patrick Gatmaitan in Pensacola FL. I have to do one week pre diet, which is clear liquids only. It’s definitely going to be a challenge thanksgiving. -
carcars75 reacted to Lanie Hardy in Nov 2020 Bypass Peeps?Ahh, my surgeon is different on pre-op diet than others. It’s 4 weeks and 800-1200 cal/day, low fat, low carb and sugar free. I’m one week in and was dying the first several days :). I’m glad your a pro at this!! Sorry about the weight gain and GERD. That is hard! Hopefully this will be the answer to both problems. I too hope for our group to be a huge help and support. Keep me posted, I’m anxious to know how you’re doing. I think it makes me feel less scared of surgery. I’ve had multiple surgeries, as a result I am dreading this surgery. Probably more then I should. I should be an old pro by now, instead I’m a scaredy-cat ??♀️ ? ?!
