2.5 months out I was down a total 75 (including pre-and post surgery) and no one had said anything. At 3 months we moved to work from home due to Covid, which meant video calls. As a result, no one really noticed until about 8 or 9 months out when my face really started to thin out. The few people I see in person notice, but it wasn't until I bought some new clothes that fit that it was obvious how much I've lost...

I remember being pre-op and my favorite thing to do was look at progress photos and dream
I am 6 months, 10 days post op and I am down 128 pounds total. This isnt a very great pic since I have been sick, but i still took it because anything is better than my before!!

I love seeing the progress people have made after surgery. So for those comfortable enough to share them I'd love to see your before and after (and even progress) pics. I haven't had surgery yet (and wont for at least another 3mths) so I don't have any to post but I still like seeing what I have to look forward to. The pic below is me at my highest of 316lbs 2hrs after my son was born.

I’m 11/30 RNY with Dr Patrick Gatmaitan in Pensacola FL. I have to do one week pre diet, which is clear liquids only. It’s definitely going to be a challenge thanksgiving.

Ahh, my surgeon is different on pre-op diet than others. It’s 4 weeks and 800-1200 cal/day, low fat, low carb and sugar free. I’m one week in and was dying the first several days :). I’m glad your a pro at this!! Sorry about the weight gain and GERD. That is hard! Hopefully this will be the answer to both problems. I too hope for our group to be a huge help and support. Keep me posted, I’m anxious to know how you’re doing. I think it makes me feel less scared of surgery. I’ve had multiple surgeries, as a result I am dreading this surgery. Probably more then I should. I should be an old pro by now, instead I’m a scaredy-cat ??‍♀️ ? ?!
