  1. Yes you are going to be so prepared!
  2. Wow that breakfast sounds awesome! I will have to try something like that, my breakfast usually consists of a premier protein shake and water. Then lunch another shake and a strawberry or two. Dinner is another protein shake 4 oz of lean meat and 1 cup of non starchy vegetables. Then I’ll end it with a sugar free popsicle. Suffice it to say I look forward to dinner! Lol I also drink 64 ounces of water so I am using the bathroom a lot as well, thank god I am still working from home.
  3. You’re lucky I have to do it for two weeks but I know it’s for a good reason and I am very motivated. It just sucks lol but you’re right I do have this !
  4. I started my preop diet yesterday and it ain’t easy lol I stocked up on protein shakes and sugar free popsicles but nothing else. It is definitely doable but it’s hard not going to lie. Any one else feel this way?
  5. My date changed from March 17th to March 2nd! I started my preop today, I’m nervous but excited. Good luck to you!
  6. I have my surgery in two weeks and I told my boss that I am getting a tumor removed and with that I will need a partial gastrectomy which is true, but I don’t feel the need to tell her or any of my coworkers my medical business that is your choice. I only told close family and my best friend. No one else needs to know anything and it’s not that I’m ashamed it’s just none of their f$;&@/?! business! Lol
  7. Mine just got moved to March 2nd it was initially for the 17th but someone cancelled. I’m excited but nervous lol I start my pre-op diet tomorrow.
  8. So I just got the call from my doctor that my surgery has been moved to March 2nd and I start my preop diet tomorrow! I’m kinda nervous but so excited, I can’t believe it is really happening!
  9. I actually don’t know. My insurance company haven’t said anything and neither has my hospital. But I’m sure it is 20%.
  10. My surgery is scheduled for 3/17 cannot wait!
  11. Thank you so much for your response!
  12. Hello, I am scheduled to have gastric bypass surgery in a few weeks. What’s unique about my surgery is that at the same time I am having a small GIST tumor resected so I’ll be having a partial gastrectomy as well. My doctor said it will be very easy to remove and everything should be fine. Just wondering if anyone experienced this and was the surgery or recovery time longer than just having gastric bypass surgery. Thanks!

  14. Hello everyone I am having gastric bypass surgery on March 17th. I was initially supposed to have the sleeve but due to a small tumor found on my stomach I had to switch to gastric bypass with a tumor resection. Either way I am very excited and nervous. Good luck to everyone!
  15. I haven’t had my surgery yet it’s next month but I am glad I know what to expect and to know that it will pass. I’ve already made up my mind to not look at the scale post op and I’ll just get my weight taken at my follow-ups. You have to remember there are other benefits to the wls and if your goal was to look good in a bikini or lose 60 lbs in a couple of months then of course you will be disappointed. My advice is to stop weighing yourself and follow the program the weight will come off.
  16. I am so appreciative of these comments. I feel like no one arounds me understand and keep saying I’ll be fine. Like I know that but sometimes I just want to talk about my fears and feel comfortable in doing so. Again thanks for the awesome advice and words of encouragement, trust me it goes a long way.
  17. I know and I know deep down inside I’ll be fine. Thank you so much for replying it is much appreciated.
  18. That is awesome thank you so much for this. I’m not going to cancel or anything but it is nice to know that everyone doesn’t have a horrible experience.
  19. I think I’ve been reading too many negative posts about WLS. And now I am having anxiety. I just need a little reassurance. FEARS: I won’t wake up after surgery I won’t lose weight I’ll have a lot of loose skin and look worse than I do now. I’ll have some type of major issue after surgery. I’ll be in excruciating pain. I know these fears are normal and I know most of this stuff isn’t true I would just like to hear some positive stories.
  20. Thank you so much! I’m getting more excited than nervous now
  21. Good look everyone we got this!
  22. Make them check while you’re on the phone . When I called after insurance confirmed I got approved they said they hadn’t received it yet. I was like can you double check and low and behold it was there .
