  1. Hi there, I am scheduled for VSG on 12/31 but I am having a very hard time deciding if I want to go through with it and am a nervous wreck! I have been dealing with high blood pressure for the past 5 years and am now pre-diabetic. Just wanted to see if anyone had any regrets of getting the surgery or second guessed it in the beginning. I am 5" 2" and 195 pounds currently. (48yo) Any advice you can give or suggestions for feeling more confident about this surgery? Any low BMI patients out there that have had the VSG and its working out just fine?
  2. How are you ladies doing?? I have a new best friend, Zero Gatorade seems to be easier for me to go down for some reason. Thursday will be my start of phase 2 for puree foods. What are some of your best puree foods?
  3. Hello I was sleeved 12/31 just looking for buddies to try to help me get through this.
  4. Omg, sleeved on 12/31 and I have the same issues. Today was not a good day for me, sick of water, sick of protein shake and just felt hungry. Every drink causes me pain and I'm sipping still. I suffered from acid reflux before surgery and I feel like it's worse not to mention I also had hiatel hernia repair. I'm just hoping things get better because mentally today was hard for me.
  5. I was sleeved 12/31 and learned that I stopped breathing during surgery? I just noticed today that I am beginning to cough with congestion in my chest? Anyone else experience something like this?
  6. Sleeved 12/31...I need buddies too.
  7. My thoughts exactly, has me pretty paranoid.

  17. I'm scheduled for the 31st I'm so so nervous. I'm on a low carb, high protein 2 week diet and have only lost 6 pounds. I wonder what determines what type of pre op diet to do?
  18. Oh congrats, how are you doing so far? I'm so nervous, scheduled Dec 31st.
  19. Oh my, me too!! Day 3 pre op diet, not liquid just low carb high protein. Why is everyone's diet different?
  20. Mine is Dec 31st for the same, I'm a nervous wreck. Day 2 of pre op diet. Let me know how everything goes!
  21. oh my, thank you all so much for the responses. I think my fear is surgery in general yes! I am at the highest weight I have ever been my whole life and I just lost my mom this year at the age of 65. She suffered her first stroke in her 40s and went on the have 3 more. It started with stress, high blood pressure and she was diabetic. This was my wake up call and wanted to be better about my health and I have been dealing with high blood pressure for 5 years now and on 3 medications for it. I will say you all have helped to motivate me and wow you all have done an amazing job at your weight loss numbers! I look forward to updating you all on my decision and progress.. Again thank you all for your feedback!
