Hey, I hope to have surgery at Vanderbilt in October. I live near western KY>

I have BCBS of Tennessee. My doctor told me this at the first visit. At my last appointment I lacked one pound. Now I have gained 4 pounds and need to lose five before they will send my info to insurance.

I had my psych evaluation yesterday. That is quite fun. Lots of questions to answer. they said I was the sanest person they know. HAHA My husband found that funny. I have to get to 212 before my insurance can go thru. They require you lose 10% on your own. so I need to lose about 5 more pounds before August 22. If you have your test on 9/05 it takes any where from 3 to 6 weeks to get approval so October sounds reasonable.Good Luck

My boss had Dr, Argotte at Lourdes in Paducah. I am going to Vanderbilt because of insurance.

mem123 Where did you have your surgery done? I am see doctors at Vanderbilt. I have BCBS of Tennessee. Ihope I don't have alot of trouble getting approved. My first hoop to jump thru is I have to lose 10% of my wieght before they will process the insurance. I hope to lose this befor my July 21st visit. I go this Friday for a phych evaluation and nutritional consuling. Anita

I have just started by weight loss journey. I am seeing a doctor in Nashville TN (Vanderbilt). I have to lose 20 lbs before my insurance will pay for the surgery. Is anyone else from the TN KY area.:tongue:

Just think of all the money you will save in medicine and in food after the surgery. Think of as a long term saving plan. I have heard of several people who are having the surgery done in Mexico to save money. From what I hear its as safe there as anywhere. Try to think positive. I believe you can do it.:tongue:
