I just recently discovered Genepro unflavored protein powder. It is expensive but worth it. It has 30gr protein per scoop and the scoop is less than half size of other protein powders. It mixes easily and doesn’t leave that powdery taste. It’s the only way I’ve hit my daily protein goals. I’m not a big water drinker so I add a scoop to my glass of tea and have 30gr of protein with one tea drink. It doesn’t even change the flavor or texture either. I highly recommend trying it. It’s been a game changer for me! ? -
Hey rjan, which protein powder do you mix into your morning latte? I’d like to try that, and give my Premier Protein Cafe Latte a rest. Any tips on how to best mix protein powder in to avoid gummy or clumpy coffee would also be appreciated. Thanks!

roseannamichael reacted to Nacol in From Sleeve to Bypass Revision timeI’m 9 days PostOp and today I can finally say I definitely feel better. The first few days were really rough. Nothing like what I had experienced with the sleeve...that was a breeze in comparison because I this time around the gas pain hit my back. I already had back issues and adding gas pain to the mix did me in. The pain pills won’t work for gas pain so all I could take was GasX which didn’t last long. Sleeping on my back for a long period of time at time is still a challenge since I’m a side sleeper. But the Dr prescribed me some Ambien which has helped. But most importantly I have No Acid Reflux!!! I’m happy. -
roseannamichael reacted to beaker27 in From Sleeve to Bypass Revision timeGas pain can be no joke! I'm glad you finally got relief from it. And, some sleep! ? That can definitely help make you feel better. That is so wonderful about the acid reflux! I *dream* about not having it one day. lol

roseannamichael reacted to Slimsoon1988 in From Sleeve to Bypass Revision timeHi there, I’m also planning to do a revision later this year due to GERD. Do you still have no reflux after your revision? How are you doing? -
roseannamichael reacted to scoutmom in From Sleeve to Bypass Revision timeI am one week post-0p from a revision (sleeve to RNY) due to severe GERD, hiatial hernia.....some complications surgically.....however, since waking up, I have not had ONE recurrence of anything remotely like acid reflux. I am thrilled!
I do find it strange this time around that I am hungry after the surgery. Or - I have to retrain my brain about food? For a year, I've used comfort food to calm my reflux in my sleeve which led to a wait gain of 40 lbs. The liquid phase in not so much about healing as it is also realigning our relationship with food I guess!

roseannamichael reacted to AtwoodDuck in From Sleeve to Bypass Revision timeI had the Sleeve in 2009 and revision to Bypass in May 2020, after regaining all the initial weight I had lost and having medical issues including severe GERD. I lost 40 pounds in the first four months since the revision. It also helped me get off of multiple medications and improved health issues I had begun having.
It was a hard decision to make, but I'm very happy and so much healthier than before. I ride a stationary bike 30-60 minutes a day now, and before the revision I would not have been able to do this.
Great decision for me

roseannamichael reacted to Tracyringo in Revision completedI am home, showered, and taking it easy. I am going to be on full liquids for 2 weeks. I am going to go slow as far as food and progression because I have read where quite a few by passers have problems with different stuff in the beginning. Hope that I can still drink premiere protein shakes and will be finding out within the hour.
Also I can already feel differences in the 2 surgeries. The sleeve had restriction from the start and I could not even drink but a few sips. This by pass is not like that at all I can drink with no problems. I just taking it slow though
