    You should contact your surgeon because I believe majority of people start a PPI after surgery for several months. I had GERD before my surgery so I just continue taking it as a precaution.     Yeah this is exactly what I did and I was never hungry and lost 20 pounds during my preop. Some people I talk to had to do all liquids but im so grateful I didn't have to.     Yeah I am post surgery 3 days now and had to stay in the hospital for 1 day. Honestly it did suck to not have anyone that could visit me but I was so tired and sore after surgery that I needed a day to myself. I texted and facetime everybody I could.
