  1. You should contact your surgeon because I believe majority of people start a PPI after surgery for several months. I had GERD before my surgery so I just continue taking it as a precaution. They do have OTC medicine you can get in the mean time to help. Nexium, omeprazole, etc... Sent from my LGL722DL using BariatricPal mobile app
  2. Yeah this is exactly what I did and I was never hungry and lost 20 pounds during my preop. Some people I talk to had to do all liquids but im so grateful I didn't have to.   4. Yeah I am post surgery 3 days now and had to stay in the hospital for 1 day. Honestly it did suck to not have anyone that could visit me but I was so tired and sore after surgery that I needed a day to myself. I texted and facetime everybody I could.
