  1. Girl you will have no problem. It is great to see you on the board. We talked a few times at Dr. Jays office I changed my name though. Enjoy it and have fun! Welcome back btw!
  2. It gets easier, just hold on. I think that's the worst part of it is the liquid diet. Find something else to do, or get some sugar free gum or hard candy to suck on.
  3. Beautiful often seems superficial yesterday RELAX
  4. I agree with Sherir, but if you need a rough estimate, one ounce is about the size of your thumb.
  5. Blondes Swimming pool or ocean?
  6. That's horrible, i'm so sorry to hear that. On the bright side it really makes me appreciate everyone here. I love the fact that so many people here are openminded about alot of things.
  7. Good luck flower! I can't say i've had that too tight feeling but i'm glad you went for an unfill. Do you think you didn't lose because you weren't getting enough calories in? I know that is one of the problems i've experienced.
  8. Yes it is Michelle. My doc (who also did my band) said anyone could do gallbladder surgery it wouldn't affect your band AT ALL.
  9. I wouldn't worry to much. I have a stretched pouch unfortuantly and it was a result of me over eating, and PBing...I would say if you haven't been PBing then you haven't stretched your pouch. I would think that your fill just wasn't sufficient enough.
  10. You are amazing! What a fantastic achievement. Keep it up!
  11. I am with leatha. I had my surgery at SCOR but they were wonderful. I was very pleased with the service I recieved. I would definatly let them know of any problems. If they don't know then no one can correct it.
  12. The preop diet was the hardest for me. It is not easy by any means. Your attitude is down because you haven't eaten and your starving and you're wondering if it's worth it. Or if you can get away with a snack. This is your turning point. Make a decision that you are either 100 percent with it or are going to push your luck. Think about how good you will feel abut yourself once you made it...without cheating! I mean seriously what an acomplishment that is. You can do it, hold on tight and if you have to (or are able to) get rid of all snackable foods in the house leaving only that which needs preparation. We are here if you need us!
  13. Wow! That is fantastic. I am so happy for you! Keep up the great work!
  14. I got my band a little less than a year ago. Around Thanksgiving. Good luck to you. I found it to be very easy. I got up and got moving and tried to kick the drowsieness feeling left from the anestesia, sore but no big deal. Spent an hour walking around walmart (though a bit slowly) the next day. Keep us posted! Thanks for the info Seppi!
  15. Thanks guys, it is amazing and you guys are my motivation. You are an amazing group of people who's knowlege, stories and contests keep alot of us going!
  16. I had my gallbladder out on Saturday. It sounds like reflux to me, but I would still talk to my doctor. GOodluck!
  17. I was in the car with my mother and we were listening to this song. It's an oldie but I like it. When it said "you and me endlessly" I thought it said "you and me and leslie"
  18. I don't see it as being a problem. Just make sure that you're activity level drops with your nutrition.
  19. How does it differ? Yesterday I had my gallbladder removed. The paper said that it's ok to take the bandages off today...with my lapband I had to wait till they fell off. Diet wise I can eat anything and so far i've had no trouble. What were your directions, how did they differ from banding post op? Oh yeah and when could you shower?
  20. Any tips on how to make that better please let me know? [Move as much as possible, get up walk around Also is heat or ice better ? I used ice yesterday and it seem to feel better today Heat seems to feel better is one better than the other am I making it worse by using heat? I don't know about that one How long will I be this sore?i think it varies for everyone, i know the more i moved the better it got Is it normal that I really have no desire to eat? In my experience yes, but it doesn't last so enjoy being craving free while it lasts Trying to think of all my questions at one time so I don't bombard the board.Don't sweat it ask away How do you support your self when you cough is your hand good enough or do I need a pillow? My doc gave me a pillow FEEL BETTER SOON!!!
  21. I'm with you 100 percent. Jack is awesome. I like this thread.
  22. I had 10 days off, but i got up and about and didn't lie down much AT ALL. I feel as if i could have gone back to work around day 3. GOOD LUCK
  23. Get up and get moving! It's the best medicine! You can do it, and you're doing the right thing with Gas X
  24. I was banded about a year ago and haven't regretted one minute of it. I would do it all again in a heartbeat. Recently (yesterday) i had my gallbladder out and I remember how easy the surgery really was. Don't sweat it, while there are risks the payoff (if you are dedicated is really worth it). Just get up and about ASAP and buy something pretty for yourself after surgery to make you feel good. Sit back, relax and get someone to take care of you. It's a great feeling, there will be ups and downs but ultimately it is all VERY VERY worth it. Wishing you all the best, from DALLAS TX
  25. It takes awhile but the band did change my thinking ultimately. Once you start to succeed food seems to become less and less important. However once banded any little problem I have I think it's band related, and am scared that something will happen that will make me lose the band. One thing I wish I knew....why there are some days when I have restriction and other days I have none. One thing I would change, in the beginning I over ate and I stretched my pouch a bit...
