  1. I had my surgery Aug. 2020. I turned 70 Sept 2020. I lost 60 pounds and have a ton of more energy!

  4. Thanks for the info. I have them back to back and that's a downer but it's what I have to deal with.
  5. I started out with surgery on Aug. 19 at 241 lbs. I have had, so far,7 plateaus where I have not lost weight for at LEAST a week up to 5 weeks. I now at 3 months today weigh 204 so hang in there. It will come just not as fast as we want. Every one says these playeaus are normal.
  6. Congratulations! I had sx on 8/19/20 and have gone from 241 the day of surgery to 212 today. Tired of eating the same things every day but happy to see the weight loss. I went from a 3xl top to an xl and a 4xl bottom to a 2xl. I also have the straining or not at all problem but found out that more water and two prunes a day are helping. Hope you get help too.
  7. 69 here. August 19 2020 was surgery. 70 Birthday September 22.
  8. My Dr had me crush my pills that I regularly take and some could be gotten in liquid form.

  10. Day 6 after sx.Going to tylenol tomorrow to see how that goes. Still left side hurts but getting better.
  11. Sleeved on the 19th.have had a BM each day after the first one. Hard to get all the liquid in.Pain meds are run out so starting tylenol. Pain is moderate except for the left side. Got BIG BRUISES there and incisions burn.
  12. Thanks! I have less pain today and moving is easier. Also easier to eat bigger amounts. I feel a lot better but getting in all the proteins is still not easy.
  13. Home now. Pain worsens. My dogs jumped on my stomach. Blood sugars high but doc says that's normal.
  14. I had mine yesterday also and I am going home this evening. I burp a lot but no nauseous. No heart burn yet. Pain is bad when I stand.

  16. Sore and hurts when I Stand. First day had isopure but did not get all my fluids in as I slept all day. Going to discharge me so they gave me step 3 full liquid. No nausea no vomiting. So get to go home this afternoon.
  17. I hour away from going to the hospital. Nervous, feel like I need to use the bathroom but nothing comes out. Wish I could leave now and get it over.
  18. Tomorrow is surgery day for me also. Excited and nervous. I wish you great luck with yours. Today is clear liquids all day. Jello and broth are Today. Again I wish you great success!
  19. I used to think and be that way until I realized I always put the weight back on. To do this you have to be committed. First you have to jump through hoops getting coverage, tests and dieting before the surgery. That teaches you to be ready for after surgery and your how to eat changes and becomes a new habit. I will be 70 soon after surgery and wish I had done this earlier because I yo yo dieted all my life. I kept a closet with a wide range of sizes so I would have something to wear. My surgery is in 8 days.
