    It's just something to consider. Chronic Epstein-Barr virus infection is something that comes to my mind because of the fever and lymph nodes but med school was long ago.

    After such a long time doctors seem to be hesitant to view the RNY as the culprit. That doesn't mean that there aren't problems that occur years after surgery.
    What comes to my mind when talking about "leaky gut" and "gastric bypass" is SIBO. Did anyone look into this?

    hmmm..... I don't really know enough about SIBO to weigh in on this, but I just wanted to say that someone on another forum I'm on has this, and it took doctors FOREVER to figure it out. So maybe??
