  1. Hi all! I’ve attached my stats in this message. Can someone take a look and give me some feedback? I know everyone loses at different rates, but I’m kind of freaking out that I’ll be a super slow loser and won’t end up losing that much. I know I’m doing all the right things. I’m not sure what else to do. I’m getting about 1000 cals a day which I’m sure will only slightly climb as time goes on so then I’m sure my weight loss will continue to slow. Any help or insight is appreciated!!
  2. Hi all! I’ve heard differing thoughts on what’s more important in the early stages of weight loss surgery. I’ve heard muscle training will help speed metabolism, and I’ve also heard if you do muscle training first it will only turn fat to muscle and you want all the fat to go away and then build muscle. Anyone have any input or advice on this? Thanks so much!
  3. Hey everyone, I’m kinda starting to freak out. I had my surgery on 2/10, 7 weeks ago. I have not lost weight in 4 weeks. I’m down about 25 pounds since surgery but the scale isn’t budging really. I’ll go up a pound and down a pound but outside of that, nothing. 4 weeks to me is a long time for such a stall this early. I’m tracking everything I eat. Everything. Staying under 1000 calories. Could be better with protein and water, but making good food choices. I work out every day via cardio. I have lost inches but that’s kinda stalled too. I’m worried this isn’t going to work for me. Like what the heck. I’m working so hard. I don’t get it. Help! Thanks, Jackie

  5. Hello all, I had VSG done on February 10th. I was so excited and ready. Since my surgery, I’ve been really struggling. My recovery is still going. Had a lot of pain but I’m back to somewhat myself. I ended up going to the ED last night for horrible palpitations. They believe caused by dehydration so I’m trying to focus so hard on fluids. I’m sucking at getting protein in as the drinks make me gag now. I broke out in hives today. No idea why. I’m just discouraged. I feel unhealthier than when I started this process. I’m depressed and miss being normal. Eating dinner with my family, cooking, ENJOYING my food, etc. I know this isn’t going to be a breeze. I know it’s going to take hard work. But I’m sad and regretting this decision, and I’m stuck in a really yucky headspace. Any advice is appreciated

  7. Hello all, I’m prepping for VSG in October. I weight currently about 296. I’m 31 and ‘4”. I’ve spent months dreaming and looking forward to this tool to help me once and for all. I’m worried I won’t be successful. And I’m worried I won’t be satisfied because my expectations are too high? Does anyone know what a realistic weight for me is? My surgeon didn’t really give me a straight answer. Thanks in advance!
