  1. OMG Bandpal, you have lost soooo much weight, very well done to you, its wonderful, I bet you feel great.
  2. Well today I feel just the same, sickly and headache, am going back to bed. Must be a gastric bug, I havent been sick again, just the loo a few times. I just want to sleep.
  3. We do all suffer dont we, my daughters think I am going for an oscar, they say I am too dramatic, but I dont care!! I had a terrible friday night, couldnt get more than 2 spoonfuls of my tea down, and tried a little ice cream later and couldnt even manage that. Then had awful reflux in the night, sorry to be explicit, but the vomit shot down my nose, it was horrible. Today I havent been off the loo, so dont know if I have a bug or what, I have a banging headache and feel awful, so maybe I have caught something. I feel like $hite, but have to go visit my poor Mum in the home, cos I havent been for 3 days. Aint life a biatch!!!! EDIT: I've had to phone the home for them to tell my Mum I'm not so good, I dont want to pass on anything to her, the elderly dont deal well with bad things.
  4. Nat, like the girls have said, that is quite a normal thing, to be hungry, I was hungry a few days in lol.
  5. Good luck Laila, it will be over before you know it. And anyone else heading to Belgium, take care of you.
  6. Great that you guys can eat chicken, I cant eat it at all, it shoots back up with considerable pain, but I can eat pork and gammon no problem. Its quite weird.
  7. I hope you continue to lose weight FF, its fantastic!!! Well done you. I'm a grazer, never have been able to eat large meals, but it didnt do me much good, I put on about 5 stone over the last 10 years, hopefully this will be the making of me.
  8. So much weight lost and so soon, can I just ask were you a very good eater before? Not being rude or anything, but I wouldnt lose that much if I stayed on water for 2 weeks? Anyway brilliant that you are all losing, this forum will be full of skinny people soon lol. That Tuila or whatever her name is shouldnt be allowed to be in business, playing with peoples emotions, we feel bad enough as it is without her messing with our heads. Its disgusting the way she's treated people and I for one, feel extremely angry. The company she works for needs to be boycotted, I dont care if it is offensive to her/them something must be done.
  9. Welcome Lyn, great that you're going to be banded soon. Anita thats a good piece of info for would-be Bandsters. Mia, if you tell Freddy boy about your re-flux he will insist on a de-fill as he explained to me it can be dangerous healthwise, so if it still carries on hunny,. get it sorted. I had mine for about 3 months, and suffered horribly, I felt so weak and ill, but I did lose 3 stone, which was some consolation but I just wanted to feel well. As soon as I had a defill I felt great, you wouldnt think that such a tiny bit out would make such a difference, but it does.
  10. My daughter made me laugh yesterday, she has her op booked for 29th October, ....she says she is jumping on the *Bandwagon*. Nice one eh.
  11. You poor thing Mia, I know what its like, been there done that. Mmm has given you sound advice, I cant add much more except to endorse what she says about the defill. I have had .25 taken out of mine, and the reflux stopped straight away. Then the next month I had it put back in and I very rarely get it now, except if I eat at stupid 'o' clock. Your esophagus is inflamed, freddy boy explained to me, so once that teardropful has been taken out the swelling will return to normal. He can then re-fill and you should be ok for a few months before it starts again. Hope that helps.
  12. You will probably be in a dream until after the 'op' Pinkshaz, cant really believe its happening, thats how I was, a mixture of fright and excitement. But it all turns out well and is such a relief when they wake you up and say its all over. That was the high for me, I was sooooo happy. You'll be fine sweetheart, try not to worry too much, and with each day after surgery the discomfort lessons and you recover quickly. Make sure you dont overdo things and try to get someone to care for you. Try to rest as much as possible, your body will then heal faster.
  13. Catheter??? Surely you only need one of those if you cant get out of bed to go to the loo? Its not major surgery hunny, so I couldnt see the need for that, its only keyhole, big difference. Maybe someone is getting mixed up? That poor soul who couldnt have her band, how sad, our greatest fear isnt it. Oh right Slinks, thanx hunny.
  14. Does that mean you have another scar?
  15. Oh dear Nat, you poor thing. There have been a lot of posts about the drain/s, they sound dreadful. I didnt have any as all surgeons work differently. I have told my daughter about them, but she doesnt seem bothered, she is hardcore lol, I wouldnt like it very much.
  16. Sweetheart, it will make your band tight if you dont eat anything. You may also get a lot of wind pain, but apart from those 2 things I think you need to ask the professionals, as I'm not sure, sorry.
  17. ahh I understand now, many thanx Slinks xx
  18. Congratulations Nat, glad its all over for you girl. like has been mentioned with each day that passes so does the discomfort, you'll be fine this time next week.
  19. Can someone decode this into English for me please lol..... I just cant work out what she's saying???????
  20. PJ sorry i didnt reply sooner, I couldnt get on the site all afternoon. You do sound like you have reached your sweet spot hunny, I wouldnt have another fill, cos you might have to go back to get some out. Why dont you leave it for another month and see how you go. Mine is still tight from the stressful and starving myself weekend. I love it, dont need another fill atm.
  21. Oh no FF, I hope thats not the case, you must be devastated, all the build up only to let you down, I think that is inexcusable. I'm so sorry, but I sincerely hope you havent lost your money....why would you? They cant justify taking so much cash from you and not coming up with the goods. Thank gawd for that I was trying for ages and couldnt work it out, clever girl!!! I dont know how I did it to start with.
  22. Sher, I'm not even sure how i did the ticker. Isnt it self-explanatory when you get on the site? I'll have to log out here and find a link for it... to explain. Will have a look asap
  23. Poor you MD, prayers said for you You'll be fine hun, we all go through that, we wouldnt be human if we didnt, its the fear of the unknown.
