  1. Thanx Slinx, I've checked and there appears to be one about 500 metres away from the hotel, on the same road. Cant remember his surname, but I'll go onto FB now and see if I can find it.
  2. Does anyone know if there are any shops near the hotel in Vilvoorde that sell duty free cigarettes and if so what price are they?
  3. Slinx, I dont know if Garry had to pay again, though judging from his comments I dont think so, he was an emergency patient. His last post on Facebook seemed quite light, he said he was on antibiotics and he wanted a drink, bless.
  4. Claire, stress causes the band to tighten as you have discovered and like you say eat little but often, its the only way. Always carry a cracker or 2 with you, dont let your tummy get empty as this wont help you at all. I'm not surprised you are stressed, you have so much going on in your life. I know its hard, but try to get some 'me' time, you sound like you need it, you're not doing yourself any favours. Where would they all be if you became ill?
  5. Oh God, thats awful Claire, have you been over-filled or has it just happened the once? Slinx Garry has had it fixed, he had to have more surgery, poor lad never seems to be out of hospital
  6. Poor you Claire, I often feel that way, the food lays so heavily in my little tum, you feel so sick and eventually you have to be. I tell myself the reason for this is....cos I ate too much at one sitting. Its so hard to get used to only a morsel of food, as we all know it takes the brain longer to register we are full than our mouths, so we keep trying to shovel it in lol. Isnt anyone going on the 28th Oct and having the op on 29th? Seems like my daughter is the only one from here :puke:
  7. Sorry Slinx, meant to reply and got side-tracked, yes its the same Garry who had to have further surgery, he's from Scotland, if that helps you remember him?
  8. Shaz, but we cant have people thinking its a breeze, cos we both know its not dont we, unless you are one of the really lucky ones. You do learn that each day its different on what your band will tolerate though. I still make mistakes and I'm 20 months out. :puke:
  9. Lol, if only it were that easy, because with each fill it changes, and sometimes with each day it changes too. Just had to tell you that guys.
  10. John Bishop, I love him, he's a funny guy. I listen to him on Radio merseyside on a sunday. I've seen a few of his videos too, I'm sure you'll have a blast. Well done to the losers here btw. Garry told me on FB that he's been really poorly, he was overfilled and his port turned, he had to have surgery to correct it, poor thing. I do hope you're feeling better now Gaz xxx
  11. Slinx I hope you had a great day
  12. Corkgirl, dont worry, you can always get a band next year... a new baby is wonderful news
  13. Ahh Slinx you are so nice, thank you for the compliment about my daughter. She is so happy now, she has a new partner, a beautiful baby girl and her own shop. I'm so happy for her. her happiness shows doesnt it. It took her from 2005 to 2008 to get rid of the 8 stone and now she needs a TT. Always something isnt there. She didnt have her band too tight, because she was over-filled at one point and was frightened to death cos she couldnt swallow her own saliva and had to travel all the way back down to Southampton from the North West to get a de-fill, so she has just kept it to not being able to eat too much and it worked for her. She did have a defill when she was 6 months pregnant and only put on a stone altogether in the 9 months, she's still trying to lose it, its coming off albeit slowly. I am so looking forward to going to Belgium, havent had a holiday this year after last years big one. Thanx for the good wishes. Geez dont i natter lol
  14. Just noticed your post about piccys Sammy. Just go to Image hosting, free photo sharing & video sharing at Photobucket join and you can upload your pics, then to post them on here or anywhere actually you just right click on IMG Code which will be under your pic, choose copy and paste on here. If you have any problems just shout, we all have to learn. Some people dont know that they need a host to post pics on here. Hope that helps.
  15. Thanx girls, she does look good doesnt she, and thank you Sammy for the lovely compliment . I think you should put your lovely pic on here, was looking at it on FB you look gorgeous. Thank you for the info about the room, and I think my other daughter has willed herself to put weight on cos she looks bigger now than a few months ago. At first Dr Chris said no, she wasnt obese, then she applied again and lo and behold she got an appointment. She sent her deposit off last week, and now we're counting down, 3 weeks this Thursday we fly to Belgium.
  16. I just wanted to show 2 piccys of my lovely daughter, one before her band and the 2nd one taken last week. She has lost 8 stone since she had her op in 2005, and had a baby in between. The difference is amazing isnt it, and thats only head and shoulders!!
  17. Hi Sammy so nice to see you here babe. You have done so well!!!!! 7 stone!!!!! Thats bloody marvellous considering you've had a baby in between, so proud of you xxxx. No, daughter's op is on 29th October, fingers crossed, all goes well. I have gone from almost 17 stone to 13ST 2 lb so am quite happy, just want another stone and a bit more off, and then I'll be satisfied. I know that this is a lifetime thing, I'll get to target and then have a de-fill and prolly put weight on, so will have to start over....not a nice thought, but at my age that is gonna happen.
  18. It was just the cheapo asda stuff, I have the acid again now, as soon as I eat. Its horrid when your bands too tight, you dont have to suffer hun, get a bit taken out if it bothers you too much. Good luck with the vinegar. I find a teaspoon of honey sometimes works too.
  19. I've been having that awful acidic feeling in my chest for a few days, think my Oesophagus is inflamed again. My daughter told me to take a teaspoonful of vinegar cos apparently it tricks your stomach into thinking that there's already enough acid in your tum. Guess what it worked for me today, last time it didnt.
  20. Fatpants bring on the piccys, well maybe not on here but how about a pm. Dont you have photoshop so you can blur out your bits? I do, if you want them done just pm me hun, I'll happily do them for you, to stop any embarrassment.
  21. Poor you, I went through a soup phase, cos I wanted it,after the liquid diet, but now I am thoroughly sick of it.
  22. Everyones so positive today, its great!!! Fatpants you have done wonderfully well, so proud of you, you have reached your goal before me, I'm so jealous, but made up for you ...you go girl. Corkgirl I explained about the sweetspot the other day, naughty, you havent read the previous posts.lol Claire, its so nice when you get support from your friends, I love it. Well done girlie.
  23. Lemma, I liked your video, its so strange to put a face to the poster lol. I think you're so brave to do that youtube thing. Just wanted to say that I can drink fizzy drinks, maybe you'll be able to soon. Looking forward to your next video girl xx
  24. Pearce, my surgeon told me that I should be able to eat anything but only a 3rd of a cupful, for each meal, this is your sweetspot. That is a tiny portion if you try to put it in a cup. I can eat almost anything, but steer away from bread and sadly fruit unless its very soft fruit, apples just give me discomfort and oranges give me an acidy feeling in my chest, but everyones toleration is different. And many congratulations on your superb weightloss.
