I was told before that anything with red dye makes it difficult to visualize the tissue and lining of intestinal track, stomach, etc. It makes things "too pink" and can give look of possible inflammation, which you dont want during any medical procedure.   4. Just starting this whole process after considering it for four years. Need to do classes for my insurance, which I am ok with because I like time to research and plan.   5. Could be they are worried about you being too anemic. My husband had that for while. Doctor simply put it that if you have low iron you either losing it or not making enough.
