  1. That's interesting, I just never heard of it. But anyway, the BEST of luck!
  2. I 100% agree! My first time looking into it was 2018, but wasn't at my job long enough to get PTO for after surgery. I'm 100% sure I want this! I understand what you mean about not being sure if it was the way to go, when I tell people they are like "Danielle you don't need it". I've just never been able to maintain my health & that's all I want! My sister was sleeved 07/2018 & she looks amazing which is great but she FEELS even better! I can't wait!
  3. Congrats!!! This is random, but do you (or anyone else who sees this) obsess over the surgery? Wondering if it will be approved, worried that something will change, etc.? If so, how do you manage it?! I literally have a hard time sleeping now bc it's always on my mind! ALWAYS!
  4. Hi!! Congrats! I’m really hoping I get a date around that timeframe! I just started the process December 31st, but my insurance has no waiting period. I’ll finish with all necessary appointments March 9th & will be submitted that day. I’m so nervous! I literally sit and wonder “can this really happen for me?”. I’m excited for you! I think it’s cool how they already gave you a date prior to the insurance approval! What hospital & where are you from? I’m in Wisconsin & am going to Froedtert ❤️
  5. I guess I’m just overly anxious about it lol. I just don’t want mooooore appointments added on top of the appointments I already have ?. Like I’ve got an endoscopy, mri, then of course the psych evaluation. Between now and my psych evaluation they set me up for more dietician and supervised weight loss appointments for shits & giggles... seeing as my insurance doesn’t have any requirements. Once that psych evaluation is done in March I just wanna be able to have everything submitted! Clearly I’m not patient lol.. it’s the virgo in me ?
  6. @Thenewguy hey I meant to ask, what is the exercise evaluation?
  7. SO true! I pondered on it, then found out that my insurance does cover it. That made me happy because I really don't think I have any other option financially.
  8. GOALS! I'm too poor for that though lol
  9. Literally crawls! lol Even though I literally just had my first consult 12/31/19...it seems like my other appointments are taking foreeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeever to come!
  10. I feel the same way!!!! My insurance doesn't require a waiting period either and I'm toooo excited! I'm kinda disappointed that the soonest psych appointment is March 3rd, so my paperwork will have to wait to be submitted til then..but I'm excited and I hope it all goes well! Good luck to you!!!!
  11. Did they give you any specific reason?
  12. This is true! lol Thank you so much, I guess I just always need opinions. This whole journey has me tooooooo excited. I've got everything scheduled outside my endoscopy. I'm hoping I get approved in March & have an April date so I can be sexayyyy for graduation lol
  13. So! I went for my sleep consult yesterday & was told they’re ordering an at home test. Anyone else done this? I know I should have asked the doctor the following question, but I thought about it while falling asleep lol: if the home test shows sleep apnea, will I also need a lab test? Thanks guys!!
  14. Update guys.. So! Tuesday I saw the surgeon, really cool lady. She said that she believes surgery is medically necessary, and would also like me to do a sleep study. This morning I had my first meeting w/ the dietitian and with a nurse just to go over any concerns or anything. I'm SO EXCITED! My insurance said I have no waiting period, so they say after my Psych in March, my paperwork will be submitted. I'm hoping ALL goes well!
  15. Okay guys..Soooo I'm done with my appointment. It went great! I now have an appointment with the dietician and with another nurse on Thursday. They said they'll be checking w/ my insurance about a waiting period...I'm SOOOO excited!
  16. Perfecttttttttttttttt...I was unsure because I'm a worrier and didn't see the exact words "sleeve" lol. Thanks!
  17. I have another question lol. My insurance says that it covers: -charges for diagnostic services. -gastric or intestinal bypasses. -stomach stapling. So I contacted them, and the rep didn't know what specific surgeries are covered....So does anyone here understand this? What surgeries are covered? Thank you!
  18. Tomorrow is my appointment and I cannot stop reading over my insurance documents, reading over documents from the doctors office and everything else. Someone get me to calm down lol
