I have been waiting for this phone call since May...I almost gave up. The last time I called the Surgeons office was about a month a go...I was told she would call me as soon as I was approved...I took the hint not to call her back. I had called once a week for two months so I am sure they were tired of me. I went to the office with a smile...everyone in my offices is aware of the 'easy way' out I have decided to take. One of the girls said what is your smile about did you win the lottery....I said no but I might as well have. I told them my surgery date of 10/28/08. They all seemed happy for me and I only got one”I can't believe your doing this to yourself" comment. The only reason I told people in the first place was because I did not want them to speculate and have the rumor mills going....gossip is so much less fun if it comes from the one that the gossip effects. 310 pounds today....goal 198 (for now) I will keep you posted!

Hi my name is Kim....I am very excited about getting banded. My insurance has approved but I am waiting on a surgery date. My weight is at 301 so I am very much as my 'largest' . I am 30years old and I am ready for a new me…I spent my twenties ‘fat’ I will not spend my thirties ‘fat’ My goal is 200 than I will go from there. I am dedicated to myself in this process; I I have always been overweight but I am pretty comfortable in my own skin; until I hit the 250 mark and since than my self esteem has really hit an all time low. I am doing this for Me. I am doing this for my daughters. I am doing this for a better Me. I am not doing this for anyone but myself....I will succeed at this. I am determined.
