  1. I had surgery 11/15/19.. but I've noticed I bruise a lot easier now than I did before surgery... Normal ?
  2. Lol!!! Omg that's great !! And I recently can only have (for main food) hard boiled eggs and grilled chicken. Everything else makes me have a hypoglycemic episode and then I'm sick like I have the flu
  3. It's so annoying and embarrassing! People are always like "is that your stomach ? Are you hungry ?". And I'm like noooo I fed it already
  4. Any time I start to eat something my stomach rumbles so loud!!
  5. Welcome! This forum is amazing and so much support! Glad to have you. Luckily you didn't experience much pain from the surgery, because it was horrific for me. I still have tender spots I guess from nerves repairing etc. I too, have hit a stall but was told it's normal as well. There's plenty of support and encouragement on this forum! You're definitely not a failure ? we're here for you and along for the ride of your journey as well ?
  6. Hi! Well it seems I've hit a stall in losing weight at the moment. I'm not sore anymore but I'm believed to have become hypoglycemic ? which is awful so I've had to really be careful with anything I try and eat or drink. Other than that I've been doing pretty well since surgery. I have one spot on my stomach that is still really tender (not sure why.. maybe my nerves are still repairing). But keeping my head up and having hope I'll get off this stall I'm on. You ??
  7. I'm definitely going to see my PCP about it. Hoping something will be figured out. It does happen hours after eating but it'll hit me hard and quick to the point I get really dizzy and nauseated and sometimes actually sick. My gpa developed type 2 diabetes a few years ago. Which I don't think is hereditary but still a scary thought . But this is all new and just started maybe a week or 2 ago and it's happened 3 times since it started.
  8. Unfortunately, I don't have one or know anyone who does :/. But was told that I need to see the Dr when I'm having the symptoms because otherwise it's harder to test for and harder to figure out how to treat it . But every time I have an episode it hits me really hard and I'm out for the count for at least a day or 2. It's kinda scary considering I've been fortunate enough in life not to have anything serious with health other than my weight. So I really know nothing about this or the severity of it. Thank you for commenting and I'll probably need to look into maybe getting that to test myself during an episode.
  9. It's awful! I'll be fine, and then all of a sudden I'll start feeling "off" and it'll hit me to where ill feel like I'm sick with the flu.. the dizziness/head spin feeling, feeling tired and really nauseous and sometimes vomiting. It's awful
  10. I had surgery 11/15/19, and I don't drink anything or eat anything with sugar. That I'm aware of anyways. I'm not a sweets person. But I've had 3 episodes in the last few weeks. Not sure what's causing it. And I read that you need to go to the Dr when you're having an episode/symptoms otherwise it's hard for them to diagnose it. But it hits me randomly and it hits me pretty hard to where I had I'm out for the count the rest of the day with feeling sick and dizzy ? it's a horrible feeling ? . Glad I'm not alone. Thank you for commenting
  11. So I've had these "episodes" of all of a sudden feeling really ill. Read all my symptoms and I have the symptoms of being hypoglycemic. I read it can happen more commonly in bariatric surgery patients . Has anyone else developed this?!
  12. Thank you! It doesn't happen often but when it does happen it's randomly and very painful. It'll feel like it's directly in the center in just one spot. It's awful
  13. I use sugar free water flavoring. Or lemon juice. I try to drink 64 ounces a day but even that's been difficult since surgery because of taking smaller sips(not as small as right after surgery, but small to prevent discomfort). But I've been working on it ?
  14. Lol oh great so I'll probably experience taste change as well. Crazy how the body is after surgery!
  15. I havent tried that. I definitely will look into it! Ty
  16. Ahhh okay ! So glad its something that happens and I'm not just being some kind of baby about water ? everyone's like "umm it's just water how does it make you nauseous?!" And I never had an answer except that I had no idea and I had to add flavor otherwise I felt so ill! Glad to know I'm not alone ??
  17. I've tried walking out the gas that I get here and there. The gas that gets trapped directly in the center of your stomach and it's painful.. so any position suggestions to ease it out??? Walking gets painful during the center of stomach ones [emoji51]
  18. I was fine drinking plain water prior to surgery. But now it just makes me sick every time I drink it. It reminds me of the saline they would flush my IV with. But it's so weird.
  19. Ever since the hospital, the taste of unflavored water makes me very nauseous ??‍♀️ I do flavor my water with the sugar free stuff... But has anyone else had this issue ?! I can drink water with lemon juice and the sugar free flavors just fine... Weird [emoji848][emoji848][emoji848]
  20. Salad with romaine lettuce. Which ive had before and no prob. But this time idk why it happened
  21. I drink 30 minutes after eating. I'm sure mixing the 2 would be painful
  22. I don't drink while eating. It's only been 2 times it's happened. I definitely don't want to mix the drinking while eating. I'm sure it's painful
  23. Hey, so ive noticed there was 2 things I've eaten that caused really bad pain in the center of my stomach (area between ribs).. I'm thinking it's just something my stomach didn't agree with at all and maybe just created trapped gas?? I'm not sure but it does hurt and it takes about an hour or so for it to stop hurting. It's only happened 2 times since surgery (11/15/19)... Has anyone else had this happened ??
  24. I know how you feel. The first 2 weeks I lost a lot... And then nothing ?. But hang in there !! You got this!!
  25. Thank you ! Im looking into everything everyone's talked about ???
