  1. Hi, Tomorrow will be 3 weeks post op, I have had a great experience so far, I am very hard on myself and get on the scale all the time, I am down 17 pounds since surgery and almost 30 since 2 week post op, just FYI to help others the scale did not move for 3 days but then dropped 4 pounds so if you are experiencing this hang in there! I am now starting to get hungry, last night i woke up in the middle of the night starving! I am still mainly having plain yogurt mixed with a bit of fruit (blended) and either the primer shakes 30g protein 160 calories or shakes from Dietician. I am experiencing headaches that feel like hunger headaches, The surgeon said only a little liquid tylenol. I am having 650-800 a lories most days and more than the 64 of water. What di you do for headaches, also and I know ppl feel this way a lot…How many calories are did you have or are having at 3-4 weeks out and what kind of foods? i had some tuna with cottage cheese and it went down fine but it sat in tummy ,too soon? thanks.

  3. Please tell me what you are/were consuming 16 days or so after surgery…I am hungry, I have a plain yogurt mixed with a blended fruit one, a Protein shake or 2 a Soup or 2 probably 6-800 calories but hungry all the time and I feel like I am having too much. I have lost about 13-16 pounds since surgery day and feel the scale is not moving. WED will be 3 weeks since surgery.
  4. I hear you! but. i am just under 2 weeks post ope i started this journey at 294 i am now 264 i was 279 day of surgery its only been 17 days and I am beating myself up about only losing 12-16 pound since surgery which was 17 days ago! I wd never have done that without surgery, I think we are all too hard on ourselves and maybe unrealistic that this is the start of forever for us, if i only lose 1- 2 pounds a week Ill be so different in a year where as the past 17 years every year i thought I was going to change and never did. be strong and positive, I feel it too, i wanted to wake up skinny, it is still hard work you are doing great feel good that you took control and you will lose weight!

  6. I know this seems petty, i had my surgery July 8 I am only down 14-15 pounds since surgery…I have started to be very hungry I am already consuming 7-800 calories a day and I feel doomed and that something is wrong with me. I feel depressed
  7. I have been having my soups and shakes for the 14 days pre op, my surgery is in 2 days. today i had some very lean meat. cold cuts very little about 4 thin slices. i was told that i could eat grilled chicken and salad in the 14 day pre op phase, but now I am scared…tomorrow i just have clear liquid and do the miralax prep. almost there. anyone eat some protein, like real food before gastric sleeve?thanks
  8. Hi, I am so excited!! My surgery is on WED. My kids are away at camp and will be home 4 days after surgery ( I tried to get an earlier surgery date but they had none) I have not told them yet , they are 11 yr old girls. What and how did you tell your kids? I do not want them to think it is ok to get fat and eat and eat (not that they would be just like me!!) but I want to be as honest with them as possible any suggestions welcome. Thanks!
