    Liquid poo after surgery?

I too had a problem of very liquidy bowel movements for several weeks post-op, but once I started on a probiotic it got wayyyy better. Much more solid and not afraid to pass gas!

    I cant stomach vitamins

I had a very similar challenge. I was sick to my stomach for 6 straight weeks post-op and determined it was the multi I was taking, just too strong for my stomach. I switched to VitaCraves adult multi gummy and take an iron gummy too and it has made a world of difference. No puking and able to eat food and keep it down. You just need to find what works for you. All vitamins are not created equally.

    Changing Habits Prior to Surgery

I too am a band (2012) to bypasser (9/19), and the thing that I have been most amazed by is the need to fight the “head hunger”. I am not hungry like I used to be, so my head starts playing tricks on me, like hey you should really be eating something, don’t get too hungry. It is definitely a different lifestyle than being banded and at 6 weeks out still trying to figure it out, but good luck.

To go to ER or wait?!?!?

@Panda333 I feel you. I’ve learned that waiting isn’t always smart. I was approaching 5 weeks post-op this past weekend, and aside from (still) very sore sides was doing well. Woke up from a nap writhing in pain and thought it must be gas. Took Miralax, but 9 hours later I finally went to the ER and after a CT scan they found a small bowel obstruction (intestines had popped through one of my sutures) and I was in surgery 3 hours later. Luckily due to timing there was no resection needed). Back on the mend and feeling good. GB surgery is the real deal.
