I’ve been post op a week now with bypass. I feel really good. Started in full liquids today and was too happy to eat some hot cereal!

I’m 1 Day post op, can’t believe it, I did it! No problem either. My Dr. and his team are fantastic!! I’m sitting up drinking my 3rd set of fluids, and I’m not in too much pain nor am I hungry. Drinking and walking, should go home this afternoon. Yea Dr. Patel, you rock!!

Hi, we are having the same surgery the same day. Good luck to you. I’m on a liquid diet as well this week. What state are u in? I’m in Michigan. I can’t wait to be post op either. ☺️ I will add you to my prayer list!??

Oh wow, you have 2 weeks of liquids? It hopefully will fly by quickly. My surgery is June 23rd( formerly March 17th). I start liquid diet on the 16th as well. I also gained during the shift in. We can do it, we can do it! Good luck! ???

I’d love to have meat and veggies for pre op, lol. My pre op and post op diet is straight liquids.

Yes, the Dr. will control the robot. I’m scheduled June 23 with the robot as well ( gastric bypass).

No liquid diet would be wonderful, but I don’t want to take a chance. If my Dr. goes in and the liver is not small, he will close you up is what I’ve been told. ??‍♀️

Hi everyone! My gastric surgery is June 23rd. Getting nervous, anxious, happy and scared all at the same time. I’m 64, 5’4 and started out at 257. I’m240 now before the liquids. I start my liquid diet on the 16th. Last week to eat my sweets!!

Keep your head up. I was so discouraged when they canceled me the day before my scheduled surgery, and I’ve gained about 5 lbs during this pandemic. So, I realized that it was probably better not to have surgery when things were so bad! So I’m picking my sad self off the ground and getting back on track, cause I’ll probably be the first one they schedule. I’m praying myself, for you and everyone that’s waiting to be scheduled once again.

My surgery date was March17, but was delayed the day before. Anyway, I called Tuesday to see if they had any idea of when they’ll start again. He said probably June. I’m in Michigan.

I’m sorry for you too. They canceled me the day before my surgery in March due to the virus, so I know how you feel. I’m still waiting for another date. ??

Oh my God ! I’m so sorry for you! I was upset because I’d been in the liquid for one week. Yours is way worse! Oh my! I hope you get scheduled again soon, and only one week of liquids not 3. ??????
