  1. Thank you for writing this. I had Sleeve surgery October 2019 and I used a beloved parents inheritance to finance it and I STILL fail myself. I wrongly assumed that because I had a tiny stomach that still restricts me to a. Very small volume of solids, my early success and fast weight loss would be maintained with no effort. I was wrong, no matter how much guilt I feel, I still eat food like Mac n cheese and drink G&Ts I have the incentive of my daughter’s wedding in 4 months but I bought a piece of Turkish delight covered in chocolate last night-I’m ashamed of myself.....maybe hypnotism?
  2. I really don’t eat more than 50g of food at a time anymore it’s just when it happens in the morning before any food that I can’t manage it. Sometimes a corner of a protein bar helps
  3. Odd feeling when I have forgotten to eat breakfast or when eaten too much (hate not cleaning plate) . It’s the same place that when you are extremely nervous before a test maybe or being winded is so higher than tummy button almost at boob height. It’s a horrible horrible feeling that I cannot relieve just have to wait out. Is this familiar to anyone else with a Sleeve? How do I relieve this?
  4. I was a bit like you and had a little custard made with fortified milk
  5. I use the Centrum fruity chewables but they’re more suckables than chewables. They taste lovely so they probably don’t give me enough stuff! Before surgery, I used to take daily Turmeric with vit D, I’ve not found anyone who can tell me whether it’s alright to continue them. They come from The Golden Paste company
  6. You look stunning, congratulations
  7. Thank you but it won’t allow me to alter my weight
  8. How do I alter my current displayed weight please?
  9. I’m used to drinking gallons of the stuff and don’t mind drinking less otherwise it hurts!
  10. Had surgery on 10th, came home day 1 yesterday evening, a little uncomfortable but anti sickness working perfectly and protein shakes provided by hospital all good. Didn’t manage a whole one yesterday but may be better today. cannot drink a whole cup of tea before it gets cold but other than that drinking water well and coffee and protein shakes bit bored at home actually
  11. Thanks Looly, that’s really reassuring I received confirmation of the Procedure and details of what I should take with me today (and the bill of course!)
  12. Thank you Looly, what will happen at the pre assessment meeting? Is it blood tests?
  13. Hello, I’ve just joined this forum as I’m looking for information and advice from real people. I am scheduled for a gastric sleeve on 10th October and despite it costing a Mortgage, feedback and support from the surgical team is light to say the least. I live in Oxford, UK I have been on the pre-Op 800-1000 cal diet for just over a week and have lost 7 kilos (15 pounds), I am following it religiously as am scared to have the op put off. I am going for a pre-assessment appointment in a couple of days, what happens please? thankyou
