  1. How is everyone doing all of these months later?
  2. @sillykitty, thank you so much for sharing your journey with us! I am 2 1/2 months out from my WLS so not at goal yet or ready for plastics but I’m enjoying reading your story and all the comments from others. Good luck with your continued healing!
  3. Snack Pack Sugar-Free Juicy Gels use Sucralose instead of aspartame. You can find them in a 4 pack from Walmart but they are not with the jello, they are usually near the fruit snacks and lunch box stuff. STRAWBERRY GEL INGREDIENTS: Water, Less than 2% of: Apple Juice from Concentrate* (Water, Apple Juice), Carrageenan, Adipic Acid, Citric Acid, Potassium Citrate, Carob Bean Gum, Sodium Citrate, Sucralose, Salt, Natural and Artificial Flavor, Xanthan Gum, Red 40. *Adds an insignificant amount of sugar.
  4. I just returned from having a mini gastric bypass on October 1 and I have to agree with @ypease, Dr. Ilan and the whole staff at Hospital BC are amazing! I have never had such attentive nurses at any other hospital, the level of care was outstanding. I had some nausea after surgery but once that passed I could not believe how fast I was up walking around and feeling great. Also, If you do go, take the tour. I was not planning to go but I’m glad I did because I had such a good time.
  5. I’m here too. I hope you are doing well.
  6. Oh, that makes sense. I booked later than you did and they told me to fly in the same day. Safe travels, see you soon!
  7. Yes, see you there!! I’m so glad I will recognize someone when I get down there. I’m going by myself so this is reassuring. I’m flying down Tuesday morning so maybe you will go first?
  8. If anyone makes a new list can you add me? @Lizzziee on October 1st There is a Lizzie listed but I think that may be an error, it seems like an abandoned account.
  9. I knew i was not a great candidate for sleeve because of reflux but I was thinking RNY because I didn't understand what MGB was. My surgeon suggested Mini Gastric bypass. I believe he prefers it because there is only one anastamosis and I'm thinking any time you can do a simpler surgery there is less risk of complications and that seemed like a good thing to me. After I researched it a bit, I was happy with his recommendation.
  10. I am getting a Mini Gastric Bypass with Dr. Jalil Illan Fraijo at Bariatric Pal MX On October 1st
  11. I am going to BariatricPal MX on the first also!
  12. ??‍♀️ October 1st, mini gastric bypass
  13. That is an interesting point about milk protein concentrate and casein. I was thinking a gram or two short on the protein is not a big deal but if it is not getting absorbed by a post-bypass body it’s a big deal.
  14. Getting off caffeine has been awful for me! I feel like I’m walking around in a fog and I keep having headaches.
  15. I’m going October 1st too!
