The machine sounds great! I have to do injections to keep the blood thinner , so figured it wouldn’t be too bad to get rid of the stockings . I also use a circulation booster .

Did everyone wear their compression socks for the 2 weeks required post op ? I couldn’t stand the pain with them anymore and took them off , but wondering now if I should try them again . I’m 1 week post op .

Can we do this on the fluid diet ? I am day 8 post op

Hi CC5 , Welcome ? When did you have your surgery. I had mine on 12 th August. I’m also confused about yoghurt .I hear people say we can have it, but it doesn’t say that on my paperwork .? Can anyone throw any light on this ?

Thank you for replying Gradycat. So you could swallow them without being sick ? Thank you about the absorption post op, I was wondering that too .My surgery is on Monday so should have done this before really .

Thank you. everyone for your replies ,It was so helpful :-) So can we take tablets without bring sick ? That really worries me . I have a really bad fear of being sick , haven’t done it for nearly 50 years . I really should have sorted this out before . My surgery is on Monday 12th! My anti depressants are immediate release , but I take another one which is slow release, and I know they don’t crush well.

Please help ! Can anyone tell me how we take our regular medication after surgery please? I have to take anti - depressants and can’t just stop them , but won’t be able to take tablets and am worried about what I’m going to do. I was told that crushing them doesn’t do it .

So sorry it was postponed Chiptress , but you know, it was probably meant to be , and you’ll feel happier that you’ve got more time to do the ore-op , and you don’t have to worry that you could have done better .Mine was postponed because it was too hot to operate safely and I was really disappointed, but then I was pleased they were being cautious . Shows I’m in good hand . Mine is on12 th of August now. I wish you all the very best for the 19th. I’ll be thinking of you !

Hi Jennifer , thank you for your encouragement . A few days ago I emailed the specialist nurse , with a question about the diet and got an email from her , where she’d attached a copy of the diet . I couldn’t open it , but then today managed to , and now Im really panicking because the paperwork I was given, says a few different things from the diet she sent me , and I’ve been doing it for 4 weeks !? I weighed myself today and have only lost 3kgs ?I’m so worried they’ll cancel my surgery. After 2 cancellations, and 2 and a 1/2 years of work and waiting , if they cancel it again , I’ll feel like giving up. I hope you don’t mind me venting. I’m just so worried . I rang the hospital to ask if it’s likely they’ll cancel, but had to leave a message , and I’m still waiting to hear from them . Thank you for listening to me . ?x
